Right guys I sent some loose graded stuff to a German buyer who done a deal with me off of eBay. The bloke payed via ppg and I sent the stuff in 2 parcels due to the weight combined being over 2kg. The parcels were received by the post office and processed a minute apart, but the buyer is saying he has only received 1 package and that was a week ago. It was sent via standard airmail. I have proof of postage for both parcels and it seems strange how only one of them has turned up. So the question is what would you guys do in this situation. The POP was dated the 20/03/13.

I guess you have no tracking / signed for option ?

It is not impossible that they got separated but you wouldn't expect them to arrive more than a day or so apart - as the buyer is German then I presume the payment was standard through paypal so you will lose that case if he opens it.

What is the value of the items missing ?

I sent two parcels to France a few years back and they were over 2 weeks apart on arrival. One got held up by customs. When the recipient got it it was in a see through customs bag.

I didn't think that Germans could send payment via gift - but least that way you know he isn't trying it on.

I guess the question then is how long you give it, and how much, if any, you want to refund him when it goes past that date

Paypal does not offer 'gift' payments for german users, I know several people in Germany who can confirm this.

I have a parcel I sent to Germany early March not turn up either, standard airmail unfortunately but quite a decent sized box so nothing that could have got lost easily. Also just had an item I sent to France with tracking get scanned in as arriving in Paris about 9 days ago but hasn't actually turned up with the buyer..

Not sure what is going on with EU post but it does seem to be a bit **** at the moment.
