Now the seller is only shifting out the black ones at the moment but how long before he gets the urge to sell off the white ones as well.

Just remember that it's only ONE stormtrooper variation that's affected by this the 2 line HK I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) but at least ALL of the other marking variants are safe.
