Poon Spotting

Close but no cigar tundra  & a lot of use the petition idea was, see Todd - I care!, its just everyone else
It just seems that the other forum that boasts about hunting down a guy selling a recarded yak could give a **** less about an exact copy of a vintage figure. I will now jump on them everytime they point out a fake.....****ing hypocrites and twats.......duh..oh it's a bootleg. I know you care sexy man Frank. :D

actually the odd sized foot thing is common ish on many troopers,, really the things i noticed was the slightly larger flat areas the guys spotted,, and the larger footpeg holes,,and the paint is not quite right but until you have both in hand you wont notice. Bummer if you are collecting minty troopers,,,,,

I stay away from the pointed angled legged stormies as much as I can :p

its like a disease they have "club foot trooper" a few of them in the last batch but i have seen em before.usually the right foot as you look at them is smaller. :?

I reported them both for being fakes. It's all we can do I suppose.... well, that and threatening him with violence :D

As to whether ebay will take them down guess we'll have to wait and see.

Maybe it would be a good idea to have a forum rather than a thread for fakes. Could be broken Down to reseals/repos/poons.

Be easy for quick checks.

Just a thought. Be good for newbs.

I like your thinking, personally I would go a step further. A thread for each individual weapon and accessory, images of the fakes/repro's etc could be placed in each thread as new versions hit the market, easy researching, fast access, easy to keep updated.

Bit of work though setting it up

TIG is a great resource with lots of repro' info', but I find it a bit disorganised.

Unless I'm not using it right

The repro' section is in depth but a few accessories are not covered well, this leads to searching the 'watch out' section, that leads me to reading lots of semi related posts to find out the information I need.

If each weapon/accessory had its own sticky thread in a new kind of 'watch out section' it would be easier to keep track of the latest repro's for each accessory, rather than having to wade through 'fake Stormtroopers' (trying to stay on topic :) ) and 'dodgy eBay members' to get the latest details on an Ugnaught Apron repro'. I know the search option is there but I have varying success with this.

I am not trying to knock TIG, like I said its a great resource, its helped me in the past and its free. As well as this I can imagine what a monster of a site is is to keep organised, up to date and moderated.

Sorry to take the thread off topic, but that's the what I would like to see in a forum.
