Poll 12 back luke or DT luke?

Evening guys, Straw poll time what would you go for lets say boh AFA 85 graded items 12 back luke or loose DT luke?

James thats a tuff one. If they where both graded 85 then it would have to be a 12 Back but if they where in worse conditon then it would have to be a DT IMO

Its a difficult one i agree, 12 Back luke is a pretty special thing but so is the DT with the Vader or Ben its simple DT every day but luke..... I went for DT just cause i love DT's :lol:

12back because of the nostalgia, but a DT luke you can play with, if it was freed from the AFA case

Well looks like im being out gunned 2-1 I would be way too scared to play with a DT i could see that one ending up in tears and superglue

Good question. I reckon it'd have to be the 12 back. The dt's are nice but I think the nostalgia from the 12 back edges it. My mate has a loose DT Luke and I wasn't that impressed when I saw it. All that money for about 4cm plastic !
Saying that, I'm probably bitter cos I don't have one. Lol :lol:

Value wise and because there are likely to be less and less as the years go by then I would go MOC - if you are ever going to own a DT then Luke is your man - hey why not just get both

hehe Yep if the choice was too difficult you could of course buy a DT 12 back Luke and satisfy both 8)

I never understood why the AFA label says telescoping saber- I'd want double telescoping stated!!!

I like Iain's thought process about what will become more scarce. I'd still choose a loose DT (with a cardback behind it for display)

12 back just edges it for me, the iconic image on the card just sums up the whole Star Wars figure fasination for me. Maybe some day the funds will stretch......

I love them both.... There is an alternative though, dt Luke moc :mrgreen:
If I had to decide on one it would be a 12 back for me!

yep 12 back for me all the way, I can't understand when I see AFA'd Doubletelescopic figures and they pack the saber in the retracted position.

I totally agree with you Ryan! When I was playing with the idea of getting my dt Luke graded I was going to ask for it to displayed with the saber in hand. I decided against it in the end because I like playing with it too much

WOW DT Lukes getting his ass kicked i dont think either of those two are "rare" there are currenty numerous examples of both available on Flea bay and dealers sites. i did toy with this question and against the weight of opinion i did end up going for the loose DT Luke mainly because im all about the Toys and that one for me is quite a special thing.

I am more into carded figures unless prototypes so the 12 back wins if in c9 condition
