I'll be very suprised if they get banned, more like a fine (load of money straight in UEFA's top guy's pockets) and a slap on the wrist more like. I know someone who is a Birmingham fan and he has always said it's unfair for the smaller clubs as they can never compete with the big boys. When he brings it up now I say what about Liecester then?! But it is a good point.

So Brighton sack the manager that got them 17th in the PL and approach the manager who just finished 10th in the Championship. I mean what the actual ****!?

Yeah, Brighton will probably go down next season. Need some investment I think. The board/owners probably think they need an injection of new ideas and approach.

Yeah, the lower reaches of the PL is their level. Saying that Hughton did look like he had run out of ideas. I wasn't surprised he got the boot but it was a bit of a boot in the balls to fire him as soon as the season is over. Obviously the decision had ben taken and they wanted to give the new man more time.

Think City edged the Cup Final today. I think Wolves would have given them a better game, shame they didn't get through.

I think the English game is going to be like Scotland or Spain have been recently. It's going to take something special for anyone to compete with City or Liverpool.

Watford aren't a bad side and were humiliated. The Cardiff-Utd analogy is very true, 3-6 have more in common with the bottom half of the table than the top 2

Can't remember a time when two teams were so much better than the rest - impressive stuff

Time will tell, football can change quickly. :?

I'm not sure about the top 2, the top one will be there or there-abouts for years. Until Guardiola fecks off anyway. His style of play added to the bottomless bank balance means they are going to be all but unstoppable. Sure, they won't do the treble every year, unless they keep getting cushy cup draws like this year, but I don't think I can see them finishing outside the top two/picking up less than 90+pts a season, any time soon.

Spoons is right, the PL is about to become as exciting as the SPL (Celtic 8 titles in a row), Bundesliga (Bayen 7 titles in a row) or Seria A (Juve 8 titles in a row). Hold on to your hats!

Yeah incredible result, don't recall seeing such a thrashing in a cup final before. Watford looked pretty good for periods too which makes the end result even more impressive.

Interesting point raised by the commentators, prior to 2011 City hadn't won anything for 35 years. So that does show how quickly fortunes can change with the right approach (not just money as United have proven.) But I agree, looking at the two City and Liverpool squads any other PL team would swap 90% of their players out for them. Every substitution City made on Saturday was a match winner, and they didn't even use Aguero!

Apparently Pep is doing 2 more seasons and that's it at City. Man City owners will throw evrything at him to keep him though.

Can he not just go now!?
Should they actually get banned from Europe I imagine he probably would

More chance of Man Utd doing the treble next season, than City getting banned from Europe!

If City get banned it will be for season 20-21, AND they will appeal so you can probably push that back another year.

Looks like Kane might be fit for Saturday. On one one hand that's great, although so far this season he's been pretty lackluster after returning from injury, and he's going to need to have the game of his life to win this one. I reckon he's got to go with Son and Kane up front, and if I were Poch based on the Ajax performance I would put Llorente just behind them, he was great at picking up the long balls!

I'm hoping Poch goes with your under 11 girls team!

I have a bad feeling about Saturday.

So do I, Liverpool are going to win 3 - 1 I reckon.

Pool have beaten Spurs twice this season and finished 20 odd points ahead of them. That is exactly the kinda game where the so called "under dog" plays a blinder and wins. It just has that feel to it.

Anyone, other than Edd and Jason, going to be cheering for Chelsea tomorrow night?

Be good if Arsenal win, 5 English teams in the CL next season and none of them Man Utd!

Good that Villa are back in the Prem next season.

If Liverpool turn up and play like they can they will destroy pretty much any team, I can't see them losing after last seasons final, hurt them that did.
