I'm genuinely more interested in seeing Cardiff relegated than where we finish now, the way they've acted over Sala has been disgraceful

Speechless. Yes Spurs were ****, yes Son and Foyth were both idiots, but SURELY any competent ref should have applied a bit of discretion. How can you give a player a straight red 2 minutes after he's come on when the team is already down to 10 men? I've never seen anything like it. I harp on about Spurs being unlucky a lot but come on, that takes the piss. Without Kane and Son we're now pretty much ****ed against Everton next weekend.
Yes he reacted to it when he shouldn't have, but Son's foot was stamped on by the player he pushed. That's why Son pushed him, and also why Son gestured at his foot to the ref. Either both players should have been sent off, both yellow carded, or both get a warning. But to send off Son and do **** all to the cheating **** who stamped on him is simply **** refereeing. VAR can't arrive fast enough for me :-(

Liverpool win again! Can Man City beat Leicester on Monday? They are playing well.

Foyth's red was totally correct IMHO. It was a truly awful, reckless challenge that could've broken a leg. Should've been down to 8 as well. Have no idea how Dier stayed on. As for VAR, it can't come quick enough- we've been robbed terribly in the last few games.

Dier was a definite red. Son was harsh. Agree the 2nd was a red.
Liverpool should have been down t 10 too. stupid rule.

You're dead right on both counts. Son had to go, he attacked him and pushed him over. Same with the 2nd one, ludicrous tackle. We would have beaten Man U and Leicester if the correct offside and penalty decisions had been made :|

Well that game was piss poor. Never a penalty for Arsenal, can't really tell for Brighton. Brighton's midfield can sprint from mid way in their own half right to the edge of the Arsenal box before anyone makes a challenge. Shambolic.

The media are focusing on Arsenal winning the Europa League as only chance to get into CL.

But what happens if it's an Arsenal v Chelsea final? Assuming both Arsenal and Man U mess up in the final game and Arsenal finish 5th isn't that also into the CL?

The game was shocking. On the CL qualification I think it actually works the opposite way around as each nation is limited to four spots meaning Chelsea winning it and finishing in the top four makes no difference. Although should we win and finish outside the top four the fourth placed team goes into the Europa League, rather than CL qualifying

Shocking from Man Utd, can't wait for the season to end! Don't want next season to start either!

I wouldn't put it past Spurs to lose 9-0 to Everton next weekend, but assuming things stay as they are there is no pride in being the least **** of four **** teams seemingly doing their best to avoid the Champions League. I just can't believe the form of all four teams recently, it's the most ridiculous top 4 battle I can remember. Chelsea sneaking in to third shows just how badly all the other teams have done. The only positive thing about this season is that the title is still up for grabs on the last day.

I agree it's appalling, although I find it hard to find anything positive about Man City or Liverpool winning the league.

I've got a feeling City will drop points tonight and hand put the title in Liverpool's hands.

Assuming you're not joking, I have to disagree. I think the title's been City's for a few weeks now. Both they and Liverpoo have finished the season very strongly and are worthy top two finishers, but with neither side dropping points and City having a points advantage, the title will go to City.

The Rest vs Top 6

Thought this was interesting- Wolves have really held their own against the big boys!

Of 161 matches played there have been 24 wins, 17 draws and 120 defeats. Goals for is 139, against is 365.

Wolves have the best record with 4 wins and 4 draws from 11 played so far, scoring 16 and conceding 16. Fulham are the worst with 12 defeats, 7 scored and 34 conceded. Crystal Palace have the joint worst home record, losing all 6 and having a GD of -16 but have the best away record with 3 wins and a draw.

Our home form is currently 3rd best with 8 points and our away form is 4th best despite only getting 3 points (but what a beautiful 3 points it was)

The overall table with points and GD is
Wolves 16 Pts (0)
Everton 11 (-5)
West Ham 11 (-11)
Leicester 10 (-4)
Crystal Palace 10 (-19)
Southampton 8 (-18)
Bournemouth 6 (-21)
Brighton 5 (-10)
Burnley 5 (-18)
Newcastle 3 (-15)
Watford 3 (-20)
Huddersfield 1 (-32)
Cardiff 0 (-26)
Fulham 0 (-27)

Yeah what a strike, credit to Man City, to win their last 13 league games in a row. Shows how good Liverpool have been, City still only 1 point infront.

I thought Barca edged the first half and Liverpool were the better team by far for first 30 minutes of the second half, but once they got the second it could have been 4 or 5 - 0.

I'm not righting Liverpool off yet, they could still turn it around, although I do feel Barca will score at Anfield.

Agreed. I'm not sure why you go gun-ho at 3 down but sure. And with Salah and Firminio out..... I AM writing off Liverpool. Lol

Nah, sorry Edd, it was a red all day. His foot was high and it was dangerous. There was no intent, it was just over enthusiasm, but it was a red. Very similar to Gerrard's 38 second one against Utd (?) a few years ago. A foul is a foul, a red is a red, doesn't matter when it happens.

Agreed, but I suspect that is the Board. I just don't get how they could agree to buy him without insurance to cover it. Yes, it was a last minute deal but surely they had spoken to their insurers before? Either way, I don't see how or why Nantes should be out of pocket.

I think Weasel May have just exploded

I was out and holding the wee man when Pool scored. I think I musta crushed him cos he started to cry about 3 seconds later. Bad parenting.

Yeah, how the ref missed the pen against Dier I don't know. Shocking. As for TAA, apparently, it has been confirmed by retired refs that the double jeopardy rule applies. The same as a keeper cant be red carded for conceding pen, the defender is let off, effectively, if the ball ends up in the back of the net. Obviously if either party goes in two footed or punches someone it's a red, but if it's something like the TAA elbow ball, and the ball still ends up in the net he gets let off. I can see both sides of that argument.

Nope. Only the EL winner gets in. If Chelsea win and finish 4th they qualify using the PL spot and the EL spot is given to someone else. I think it is based on UEFA rankings so someone like Austria get an extra automatic spot. Whatever, it doesn't default to the EL runner up, so Arsenal have to win it, or hope for a miracle this Sunday.

Probably the worst result of the season that. That entire club needs over hauled. They need a new Board, Manager and squad. None are fit for purpose. Ole won't be there by Xmas. He seems like a nice guy, but that job/club/mess is too big for him. It would be too big for virtually every manager.

That was some strike from Kompany ...outstanding

Yeah, some dig. I wasn't exactly delighted to see it fly in, but Kompany does strike me as one of very few genuinely nice guy footballers. Mata and Milner are about the only other two. I can't hate Kompany for that, especially as it was a ruddy fluke. But if ever a goal deserved to win a league.....

That's exactly what I mean though. Yes as an isolated incident it could be interpreted as a red, but it was not deliberate or malicious, nobody was injured, and we all know referees can and do apply discretion to situations. He could have given him a yellow and stern warning under the circumstances rather than effectively end the game, if "double jeopardy" can apply to penalties why not outfield decisions? Doesn't look like it will matter now anyway, thankfully.
