The only small positive I can take from this is that both the winner and top 4 spots are closer than they've been for years, so it will be an interesting run in.

That's what was so annoying, with ten minutes left it was Liverpool who were bending over and were about to throw it away, Spurs should have won it, no question.

Yeah, can't argue with that. Sissoko had the game in his hands and fired his shot 10 yards high and wide. Pretty woeful effort from a PL midfielder. Okay, he may not be a goal scorer but surely he could at least hit the ****ing target!? Not like he had anyone in his way.

The Chelsea game was a joke, Cardiff were done!

That as shocking. Cardiff should have had a penalty. I can't remember which incident was which but one of the 2 Warnock was moaning about was a blatant pull right in front of the ref. The other one wasn't enough to merit a pen for me. Chelsea could also have had Rudiger sent off. I have only seen 1 angle of the incident, but if the Cardiff CF is getting to the ball before the keeper than it has to be a red. If the keeper is getting there first then, Okay, a yellow is the correct call. As for Chelsea's first goal, that was pathetic. He was that far offside surely the Ref could have seen it!? WHY was the linesman stood behind Willian anyway? He knew as soon as Willian hit the corner he would walk out and most probably block his view? Stand a yard to one side so you can see the ****ing thing. The chance of someone being off side/fouled is a lot higher than the chance of the ball going out and coming back in. Plus you could well make a judgement on the ball going out from 1 yard to his left where you can also see the players in the box. Really really poor. That 3pts could well cost Cardiff come June. It may also allow Chelsea into the CL. Neither is fair. I hope that Lino gets sent off the Championship/League one/two.

Utd appoint Solskjaer full time! Good choice but strange timing IMO, what's changed since the last time they played a match 2 weeks ago?

Strange appointment. They have no choice but to give it to him but I text every Utd fan I knew when it was announced offering a £100 bet on him not seeing out the 3 1/2 yr deal and not one of them was even remotely tempted. Most didn't expect him to see out next season.

Phew, they finally stopped the rot. I was worried during the first half, it looked like Palace had sussed Spurs out like everyone else has recently, just sit back and wait for Rose/Lloris to make a mistake. But thankfully the second half was a lot more convincing. It's still going to be very tight for top 4 but at least there's a glimmer of hope now. The new stadium looks pretty incredible, can't wait to go there once getting tickets is a bit less crazy.

Looking better for Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea than it is for Man Utd, I can't see Utd making it now.

Yes what a great stadium! Exciting for Spurs fans and football fans in general. (except Arsenal fans probably)

I see it's the first football stadium to have a microbrewery. 8)

It's a beauty for sure, our gaff isn't too shabby though so I'm not that fussed.

Yes very true and Spurs are a £1 billion down.

That billion is probably secured against the future income stream from ticket sales so they should be fine.

Utd really shot themselves in the foot the other night. They need minimum 5 wins from 6 games now. I think they have Chelsea and City to play too.

Don't worry we are still in the Champions League, something to fall back on.

Until Wednesday anyway.

Yes that's exactly how I feel about Spurs  at least we've got a CL game against City next week so even if we go out Arsenal fans can't say "new stadium and no CL"

Who'd have thought Chelsea would be back in the running for a CL spot a month ago? This is going to be too close to call.

Yeah some goal from Hazard tonight. Hopefully it will be close for Man Utd, but not sure. Some tuff games left.

Utd vs Chelsea, Pool vs Chelsea, Spurs vs City, Utd vs City, those four games will go a long way to deciding who finishes where.

I think Spurs deserved the win against City last night. I worried luck wasn't going to be on our side when they got a penalty after 5 minutes, but it was a very soft one and although City certainly had good spells, I don't think anyone could say Spurs didn't deserve the win overall. At least now we're only going to lose the two legs 5-1

Obviously Kane's injury is a worry but we were arguably better when he was out last time so will be interesting to see if the same happens again. We have a solid excuse for coming 5th now anyway!

Yeah Kane's ankle injury is worrying, is it the same anke as last time?

It did seem very harsh to me, but the commentators reckon it was consistent with other pens given in this year's CL, and if so, then I suppose we must accept it. I'm glad Lloris saved it though! :-D

It's certainly a ridiculous rule, as the commentators said 'natural position' should have to take balance and gravity etc in to consideration.

Well, Utd Barca was shite.

Barca aint the team they were, but I didn't think they were as bad as they showed last night. Utd were poor. Yes, they limited Barca but they had no shots on target. Stephen Hawkin (RIP) could have been in nets for Barca and the score line would have been the same. I suspect Utd will come to rue not scoring at least one. Barca won't be that pish in the second leg and Utd need to score to go through.

I've seen that Spurs hand ball for the penalty, defenders are going to need Jedi reflexes from now on with VAR.

I was excited about the game last night until about a hour before kick off and I realised UTD would probably lose. Then it starts and Barcelona are their for the taking! Although it may have just been a bad night for Barca, going on the performances from both teams, which ever makes it through (Barcelona 90% for me) will be the worst team left in the semis.

Can see Man Utd's season really fizzing out now, load of ****. Lost 4 of last 5 games.

I saw that stat. Has the Solskjaer/ "Thank **** Jose has gone" effect worn off?
