I was driving this afternoon so missed it, but I know we were winning at half time so I can guess what Poch did - rather than try to hang on to the valuable lead and win the most important game of the season, he threw everyone forward and got embarrassed on the counter attack. THREE TIMES. Honestly, I respect the guy for what he's done, but he will never learn. We've lost too many important games from winning positions.
I won't spoil it for you, but you must watch this on catch up...one of the best games I've seen in ages.

That's Hughes sacked, not surprising and can't really see him getting another premiership job.

Bloody hell that Liverpool goal yesterday, now there's a gift you don't get every day. How on earth that went in I'll never know. I was all setup to commend Everton on their defensive performance and how Spurs could take a leaf out of their book, when that happened 2 minutes after the game should have ended. I don't know if there are any Everton fans here, but that was as harsh as it gets.

Gift? That was straight off the training ground! They have been working on that routine for weeks!
I just dunno WTF Pickford was doing. Just leave it. It's going out for a goal kick, by the time you take that it's FT and a well deserved point. It's one of those you can't describe, you have to see, just to understand quite how ****ing daft he was.
I didn't see the game but it sounded like a fairly entertaining 0-0, until Pickford had his brain fart.

Arsenal Spuds game was great entertainment. This new Arsenal side who don't bend over every time they face a half decent side are going to take a bit of getting used to.

As for Sparky, wrong man, at the wrong club at the wrong time. Dreadful appointment from the off. Saints Board should be resigning en mass.
That should be the last we see of him in the PL. Though I have a horrible feeling like Moyesy, Allerdyce and Pardew some club chairman will be desperate enough to think employing him is anything other than the worse idea possible.

Don't worry, we're still letting everyone have a wee glance up our skirt, there's every chance of someone penetrating at least once a game

Should be interesting at OT on Wednesday.

Interesting, that's not how I'm thinking of it. Think I'll be watching it from behind the sofa. :?

We haven't beaten you in the league at IT since 2006 - Even when Moyes was in charge and everyone was having a go we still couldn't do it. I think it's me that'll be behind the sofa

There you go you've said it now, 'we haven't beaten you since'!

When we played Chelsea a month or so ago they got a corner and a stat came up saying how they are one of the worst sides in the PL to score from corners and they only score every 52.3 corners. As I saw that I said here we go I bet this is their 53rd corner since the've Scored and guess what Pogba whent to sleep and Chelsea banged in their first corner for months!

Like the Palace game a couple of weeks ago all I heard about before the game was what a poor record they have at OT.......

Fair point, you do have form for ending our unbeaten runs though.....

Yes massive game for Arsenal tomorrow to see if they can keep their top 4 spot. Typical that Spurs get Southampton the first game after Hughes is sacked, teams have a habit of suddenly finding form when that happens. I predict two draws and as you were.

Has anybody got any idea why Modric has won the ballon d'or? This year he's been a runner up in the World Cup, his team are currently 5th in their league, plays for a corrupt country and has personally been charged with perjury (the charges conveniently dropped hours after his win yesterday.) I love how all the newspapers are highlighting that somebody other than Ronaldo/Messi has won it, but all they've done is given it to another random Real player

Agreed Arsenal Utd will be interesting. As a neutral I'm looking forward to it, Arsenal's attack against that Utd defence could be great viewing. One thing is for certain if you Utd don't win we all know who WON'T be to blame.

As for Modric, Ronaldo and Messi had, by their standards, poor seasons so who wins it? Suarez was ok, but not golden balloon good. Croatia made WC Final and Real won CL so Modric got it by default as there are no French men in that Real team. Benzema is a bit part player and defenders don't win golden balloons. I do agree he is a strange choice, he wasn't THAT good, and much better players have finished second or third in previous years. It was just one of those years without any real stand out contenders.

World cup top scorer? ;) I don't seriously think Kane deserved it, but he's no less worthy of it than Modric.

I'm sorry but Modric deserves the Ballon d'or in my opinion, he's qaulity and play's in that holding midfield position as well as anyone and better than most. It reminds me of Michael Carrick in his day, not saying he was as good as Modric but very underappreciated at the time. Cannavaro is the only defender I can remember winning it, so I agree defenders don't get a look in. That said all proffesionals agree that putting the ball in the net is the hardest thing to do consistantly in football so I can see how attackers get reconized more.

Spoken like a true Spurs fan! Lol.
I might agree with you, were half of Harry Kane's goals not penalties or deflected in off his arse while he was trying to get out of the way.

Honestly I was joking, I just can't think of anything of note Modric has contributed to the game, and I think it's pretty shocking to award it to a player whose country had to play games behind closed doors due to corruption! Football leaders have a bad enough reputation at the moment already.

Lol, I know.
It was just one of those years when there weren't any real outstanding candidates.
Did Modric not win player of the WC?

I think Mo Salah had a shout for an outstanding season. There've been a few goalkeepers that have had good seasons too.

Yes, I believe he did, and I haven't a clue why. Yes, he's a very good player, but I honestly believe there were better players than him in both the World Cup and in contention for the ballon d'or this year. I watched Modric for many years when he was at Spurs, and yes, when he was good he was excellent, but he also had an awful lot of anonymous games. When Spurs finally sold him, we really didn't miss him that much (unlike Bale). Personally, I rate Christian Eriksen above Modric, and no before you ask, I don't think Eriksen should have won the ballon d'or ;-)

Sala is a good shout and I really like Erickson as well. I think Modric is a worthy winner though, although they should change the name of the Ballon d'or to best player of the Champions league winning team.
