Have sent the last 3 hours trying to sort out a sales post and have already managed to delete it once.

Is it possible to resize my pictures in bulk ? Also I resize some pictures individually and then copy them over to here and they remain at full size

This is really doing my spud in so any advice would be great

Hi Iain, if you use Photoshop you can set up bulk resizing, seeing as it can be done in Photoshop there must a free online service that can do this for you, or some downloadable software...

I will have a quick look... :D

I've had problems with photobucket resizing in the past. Now I always upload images after resizing them on my computer or camera.

I don't think photobucket has a bulk resize option.

It could be that you need to refresh your cache. Press Ctrl-F5, it might work.

There are a few, I cannot vouch for them as I have not used them though...

Cheers mate - looks like a good bit of kit - trouble is they want you to pay otherwise they stick watermarks all over the pictures

Iain do you happen to have Microsoft picture manager on your pc? If so:

Open your picture with the program, look for the "Edit pictures.." button and when that menu opens there is a handy "compress pictures" option on the right at the bottom, click that and you get a choice of sizes to use, I use the preset document size as it usually gives you a decent size to play with but you can go smaller I think.

Most computers have that program and it saves you going out of your way to get something snazzy if all you want is to resize them. (Paint is ok to use too but it is a bit old and fiddly)

Cheers for valuable advice all, am reassured it's not just me who struggles with Photobucket so will give flikr a spin to see if I get less llaagg.

Joe, that was brilliant - all worked and have managed to upload my sales thread - cheers man

I now resize before i put them on photobucket. I know what size i use for ebay and it's always the same so i drag all the pics to "Gimp" (a cross between 'paint' and photoshop) on my laptop and resize them. Then upload to PB and they're good to go.
With regards to having resized something on PB and then uploaded it and it's still full size, this is usually because cookies haven't been deleted so it doesn't 'kick-in'. Delete your photobucket cookies and the images should reduce to the adjusted size.

I'm with Todd and use Flickr. No need to resize on Flickr. Really easy to use. Sounds like you've got it all sorted now though.
