aussiejames said:I don't think yours is the light green. I would call it PBP/Tri :wbobafett said:this version can appear with no coo scar or just with the remaining '1' coo. Its unclear which of these coos are the true pbp version...maybe both.

Dark green, with pink tusks, with remnants of COO or No coo at all = Meccano/Tri

Thanks Josh, does that mean made by Meccano released on a Tri card?
 my heads in bits mate  but have learned a lot, weather its right or wrong I dont know  What does PBP/Tri mean :?:aussiejames said:I was just about to ask " I thought yours was a 5 with the '1' remaining ? " hence why I think it's a PBP/Tri BUT it has more pink tusks than my '1' only. I did warn you this was going to get confusing  My final answer is it's european![]()

Bill did once write that the white tusked Tri/PBP figure shouldn't be confused with the earlier pink mouth version – I assumed he meant the Pal variant but maybe not? Just speculating but maybe your Tri/PBP variation with a pink mouth is a figure made sometime between the PBP/Mec & PBP/Tri variants when they were still painting mouths pink. Or a factory error – a different head put on the Tri/PBP body.He also says.
If you like coo's my Pal variant has coo #5
IIRC the Pal variant is found on late ESB Palitoy & some ROTJ cards & the Tri/PBP figure on late ROTJ Palitoy & Kenner Made In Spain & PBP cards. (I think all the above variations can found in baggies & possibly a few more cards than mentioned above.)
Which would tie in with the pink tusk thing
Like I said this is all new to m also. Just having a bit of fun working it out with yah..
let's go with a Pali variant instead![]()

NO COO Walrus Men, L to R = Pal, PBP/Mec, PBP/Tri variants.
If he looks like the one on the left...then it is a Pali variant
aussiejames said:Bingo, Palitoy it is. Unless someone else wants to add anything? I'm surprised Weasel hasn't joined in with some variation talkps. who is Billywinkle? (billyboy) I noticed a bagged Yak face in the webshots. EDIT bloody hell snags- now you've confused things
