PBP Walrus Man, Found this whilst going through some figures, it has a raised 1 on its left leg. Any ideas on its worth :?: Also what does the PBP stand for :?:

PBP is the spainish line, most often they have a scar COO. But are found on Tri cards as well. They are more confusing than Ledy to identify (for me anyway) & I prefer to refer to them as European. Snag & Wally are the more common ones worth 10-20 pounds.

Thanks again for that James, Is this one PBP then as i've seen it on landos locker as PBP but everything else i can fine about PBP has a scar?

There are more than 1 with just the scar & '1' remaining which makes me think this is not the 'true' PBP variant (if there is a unique PBP wally at all?- which is the scar, dark blue limbs, dark green head) Confused yet? I've spoken about Wally variations with a few people & if you want a headache Walrusman variations will give you one

So are you saying that PBP WM should all have a scar? Mines the same as the one on landos locker, a raised 1 on the left leg and no other mark. Do you know what it is if its not PBP mate?

Mine does look like those, not sure on the eyes though and no scar :?

the one on the left is the same as yours ('1') compared to a PBP with a scar (note the slightly whiter tusks)
it is possible that both are PBP (PBP seem to have a white face trait- again not 100%)
SDC11834.jpg

PBP on the left, pink tusk middle, pale green right (maybe Meccano but no marks at all is Meccano??) all have a scar
There are at least twice this amount of scar & '1' variations, pink vs white tusks, butt vs bean tusks (don't ask I have no idea about this butt vs bean deal) glossy boots, dark vs light green , darker blue limbs ....... confused yet?? Hence why I like the term european

^^ Yep that is the same as my light green Wally, but there is a Walrusman with no marks at all & light green as well , hence my confusion. There are clearly more variations than names for them: Tri, meccano, PBP so I doubt if any one is unique to a country.

I found the headache making thread : http://threads.rebelscum.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB1&Number=3524470&Forum=,,,,,,,,,f1,,,,,,,,,&Words=interesting%20find%20for%20variant%20collectors&Searchpage=8&Limit=25&Main=3524470&Search=true&where=bodysub&Name=&daterange=0&newerval=&newertype=&olderval=&oldertype=&bodyprev=#Post3524470

No COO, light green, with white tusks is a PBP/tri then?
No COO dark green, with white tusks is PBP
Light green, with pink tusks, with remnants of COO or NO coo at all = Meccano/PBP
Dark green, with pink tusks, with remnants of COO or No coo at all = Meccano/Tri

PBP/Mec figure comes with coo #3&4
PBP/Tri variant comes with coo #3&5

Hows that sound?
Thanks for the input fellas.

Josh, Mines the Dark green, with pink tusks, with remnants of COO or No coo at all = Meccano/Tri, right? Its not a PBP so dose that mean its a Tri variant as it comes with coo #5? Sorry if i'm being dumb but i'm confused as **** lol

I don't think yours is the light green. I would call it PBP/Tri :

this version can appear with no coo scar or just with the remaining '1' coo. Its unclear which of these coos are the true pbp version...maybe both.
