I hadn't even heard of Kenner or Palitoy until I started collecting again in the early 90s. Incidentally, I remember that Palitoy MOCs were much more readily available than Kenner ones back then, I had several which these days would have been worth a fortune!

I was of the mid 80s tri logo era as a kid, so they hold the best memories for me :) I do also remember the later Palitoy cards with no logo too.

I only remember Kenner from when i was a kid. First time i saw that Palitoy logo was when i joined this forum. I like the Palitoy logo but i mainly collect Kenner because that's what i remember buying as a kid.

I dont remember any boxes from my SW toys, most of mine were hand-me-downs from my super rich cousins, and carded or mib items i got were ripped to shreds in seconds and in the bin lol

I can remember my mum making a bonfire at christmas to burn all the star wars toy packaging and christmas stuff.

Given the choice- I prefer Palitoy,

I prefer the Kenner ones as those were the ones sold here in Norway
Didnt really know too much about Palitoy until recent years

Being American, I only had Kenner growing up....as an adult collecting I branched out and became interested in Palitoy and other non-American companies. The palitoy deathstar blows kenners away. The playsets (Cantina, Droid factory and land of the jawas),,,way different. The packaging is cooler looking too me.......................I was hooked and joined this forum. Neither are better to me, but it was nice to be able to branch out after I had all my Kenner stuff done.

if I could it would all be Palitoy as they are what I remember opening as a kid, I have lots of memory's of opening palitoy items as well, sadly I was as daft as Andy & all my packaging lasted about 2 seconds & went in the bin, wish I had some things left from my childhood collection :|

For me it's Palitoy. I'm a 70's child so that's what I remembered growing up and that's what I collect today.

In most cases one is not better than the other, but certain toys are better for kenner, but some packaging looks better for Palitoy.

I mostly remember having Kenner stuff as a kid, I never actually remember seeing the Toltoys logo until I started collecting as an adult. I guess it shows how hard they were to find back then let alone today.

I love the Toltoys logo and would collect it if I had the cash but Kenner holds up in my childhood memories. The best part about this hobby is the vast range of different logos from each country on offer, I'm happy to try and collect all the foreign gear, makes it that much more interesting.

Until I started collecting I didn't even realise uk and USA stuff was made by different companies. I'd love to collect the Palitoy Star Wars cards but taking the cost into account, it'd be really tough! There's something about the logo on the cards that I like, but not enough to pay at least double the price of a Kenner version.

Not at all. Same with the cantina, land of the jawas and landspeeder. The kenner versions are by far better. But I do prefer the Palitoy packaging.

The only piece I'm in two minds over is the deathstar.

I have to say the Palitoy deathnstar appears to have more playability. I feel I was cheated as a child. It was the first Palitoy item I bought when I decided to take the Palitoy dive. Kenners landspeeder wins as it has a opening hood (Uh....bonnet :D ) good to hide weapons in as I remember. Oh and kenners X-wing had electronics, although I love the chrome dome on R2 on the Palitoy version.

Kenners Land of the jawas was far more sturdy, had a decent plastic base with moving parts and best of all, the escape pod

Similar with the cantina and droid factory.

The electronics on the kenner X-wing are nice, but not great, it has to be said!

The deathstar i do sturggle to decide. I like the Palitoy box. BUt the Kenner one again is more sturdy, has more levels, moving parts and a realistic looking gun!

The palitoy one seems to give more room to play though and the shape is pretty cool.

These these can;t be compared, was gutted to discover you lot had the dewback and R/C sancrawler.
