Don't get your hopes up (now that I've grabbed your attention with the keywords 'Palitoy' and 'competition' in the title :? ).

After receiving such a warm welcome and great advice from everyone on this forum these past couple of months, I thought it about time to give something back. While my steady pace of collecting hasn't afforded me any vintage spares to give away as yet, I thought maybe I could offer this canvas I've just finished working on:

It's hand painted, acrylic on canvas, and measures 25cm x 60cm. I'm planning on doing more for a display I have in mind, but I'd like to pass this first effort on to anybody that might be interested in winning it.

So here's how the competition works:

I've painted this piece over the last three days, but I've kept track of how many hours and minutes it actually took me using the stopwatch on my iPhone. To give you some idea... the white background took three coats of paint, and both the red and the blue of the logo took four coats apiece.

Enter your guess in hours and minutes (HH/MM), and the person nearest to the answer gets this painting. I'll leave the competition open for a week, announcing the winner next Sunday 11th August after midday. Obviously I'll be covering shipping costs worldwide, so everybody is welcome to enter.

Come on, have a go :D

Thanks for the comments, guys :D it's a big relief to be honest... I was somewhat nervous about putting up something I'd made myself as a prize, rather than some original vintage goodness. I'm glad you like!

Not to sound sappy....but I think these types of things mean alot more as it's a persons time and passion that went into it. One of a ****ing kind.

Agree with Todd, can't beat a unique piece :D

Such a cool piece Martin you've got to have a steady hand to cope with those lines, a hand painted Palitoy Logo is sure to get the members on here drooling.

I'm going, 5 Hrs 20 mins. I reckon your a speed demon with the brush!
