Alarm bells all over this listing!!!

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Star-Wars-Palitoy-Chewbacca-/221690106623?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item339dc292ff

Rare find if it's legit though.

£60 for postage!!!

Definitely not legit as these are photos from the one that sold a couple of years ago for £4000 or so.

The seller became a member on here at the time but I don't think he comes here anymore.

Their other auction is for a Porsche boxter engine.

Has anyone reported this muppet yet?

If the seller doesnt have the item then how does this scam work? How could the seller get to keep the money?

Does anyone know what would likely happen if you were to win the bid?

When you paypal the money he has plenty of time to get the money out, close the probably dodgy account, close the zero feedback ebay account and disappear, you can make a claim to Paypal and you will win but it's a pain in the ass isn't it?
Alternatively an old one is if you win the seller will have a 'problem' with his paypal account but he'll give you a discount if you 'gift' it or send a money order

he's offering collection, might offer cash on collection and see what he says.

just have and for more pics, see what he comes back with

I know the entire history because my Grandmother bought it new in the late 70's

my Grandmother will not pay 150 Pound for shipping 8)

You're right, it's a pain the arse but it's also abit of a crapshoot for potentially a lot of money. I wouldn't want some paypal monkey making a decision on that much money in a claim.

Risk/reward ain't worth it when you know he's scamming.

Am I mistaken or is this the same kind of description given by that

Well clearly it's legit!! :?

He does recommend collecting in person, so presumably would allow cash on collection?
