So I'm now 3 20 backs down. The idea was to stop at 12 backs but the Star Wars logo and Palitoy are too good to resist. All reseals/ rebuilds but I love.them.

This is the last run!!! Many thanks to Ian and Mark for the hints...now I need to hide 5 more from the wife!!!

Looking good Lee! Off to a great start and hopefully it won't be too long before you complete your next run (just make sure you've got a few good hiding places from your wife  ).

Ian

They look great mate, I'm 3 away ( but mine are Kenner Pali mixed)

There's something quite satisfying about putting together the run of reseals/ rebuilds call them rescues mate, as that's what's happening, component parts that would languish in drawers and boxes get a new lease of life on display and make you smile :D
Good luck with the search bud.

We're in direct competition now Lee! :D

I'm currently fighting a war on 3 fronts - 20 backs (only Power Droid so far), 30 backs (only need 6 to complete) and the 45a's (5 down so far) - basically I decided to do a debut run, minus the Zuckuss and Jedi cards, but I won't rule anything out.

I have to say that going down this route has really kept my passion for collecting alive recently. I'm finding it harder and harder to find stuff I need/want, but my Palitoy run has kept things going and I'm really enjoying it.

Good luck on the run mate, you're off to a great start and can't wait to see it complete in all its glory :)

Thanks chaps.

Mark, I'm collecting ESB aswell but not specifically. All of the 20 backs in the photo are repairs/rebuilds and as Mike said it brings life back to old pieces.

I've not enjoyed collecting as much as since I started these. It's just so rewarding and satisfying .

Picked up a battered DSD this week and repaired it. Not too shabby, but hey it's still an original card.

Me too! 8 to go...

20 DSD and Hammerhead
45a Dengar, bespin guard, TIE pilot, 4-lom and C-3PO
45c zuckuss

These have taken ages though and now I finally have them back on display after moving house the gaps really gnaw at me haha

Think Steve Davies (on FB) has a DSD re-seal for sale. The 4-LOM should be relativey easy, the good thing about the 45a's is you can pick up MOCs for the same price as a re-seal in some instances.

I have recently added a Hammerhead and R5 to my 20 back run and a trade in the pipeline for a 45a Tie Pilot MOC.

It is a tough run to put together I agree Max, but hugely satisfying. I love looking at them on display, especially when they're all cased up :)

Nice one

Wow - incredible work to repair them that well! They look great! Nice work with the DSD.

These look fantastic Lee. You guys have inspired me to try this so if anyone has any spare original bubbles let me know.

Hopefully I can add a limelight like this in the future. Been on a bit of a break lately so will be good to get back into the hobby again.

Best,
Mark
