Interesting factoid (to me anyway) but quite a few scenes from the Costner movie were filmed in my neck of the woods. The waterfall fight with Friar Tuck was filmed five minutes walk from my house 8)

Cool,
The other film released at the same time, also about Hood- 'Robin Hood' (the one with Uma Thurman) was filmed near my home town, I worked on it for 3 months, doing sword fighting, had to wear several different outfits, but the only time you see my face, was sadly during a non violent scene!

Highlight of the shoot, was talking to an effects guy about other films he had worked on, and he pulls a tshirt from his bag and says 'I worked on this aswell' as he unfurled a 'Revenge of the Jedi' shirt!

I used to collect comics in the 90's and had quite a large collection at one point of issues of titles including Amazing Spiderman, DareDevil, Ghost Rider, Iron Man & X-Men etc...

Quite a large portion of my collection was sold off about 10 years ago to fund other purchases but I held onto about 1000 comics and still have them now.

Recently a guy over at RS asked me if I would be interested in selling them, so I got a few boxes out of the attic and took him a few pics with a view of selling them. His offer wasn't great and I now feel fairly apprehensive about selling them with the state of the economy etc.

Here are a few pics of what I still have in my collection:-

Should I keep them or take what I'm offered?

Awesome Coco, love the Spidey and Iron Man ones.
I used to collect comics too and you've now put another 'to do' on my list for the weekend......dig out my collection.

I have mainly X-Men, would love your Spidey collection.

I love the "Spiderman No More" cover!

Totally agree with you Bollox, The Amazing Spiderman 50 cover "Spiderman no more" has to be one of the greatest comic covers of all time and its a key issue with the 1st appearance of the Kingpin.

Check out this review:-

ALso, note the value at the top right hand side of the review  Just a pity mine aint Near Mint

Those are excellent comics mate, If your sick of them and some other person will like them then sell them. You have Starwars which is probably your main hobby.

Cheers.

Grant.

Very nice mate. Keep them until you get a decent offer, or until you need to sell them. No point in cashing in if you don't need the money and the offer aint great.

Im not a comic collector by any stretch of the imagination but i love a good comic cover so i have this "Spiderman no more" in a frame by the front door,
its the first thing you see when you walk into the gaff. That and Frank Millers Batman year 1 issue 1, another great cover and story to boot

Near mint in comic valuation terms means ridiculously pristine, anything less and you can knock 50 %off that estimate.

Here is my latest non star wars stuff.

I finished my centurions collection with Dr Terror

Started a mint carded collection of Clash of the Titans (got them loose)

and my latest Battle Beast additions

Battle beasts look cool, and bring back loads of memories

Are they easy to get (in decent nick), how expensive are they, how many are there, etc etc?

They are fairly cheap mate, about £20 for a two pack mint, there are quite a lot, and japanese variations as well. ive seen about 15 or 20 different two packs but im no sure how many there are all together.
