Other Vintage Collections

So cool to see other collectors vintage toys.

I've really cut back on my other collections, He Man, Thundercats, Action Man and Action Force have all been sold off to focus on Star Wars vintage. There are some things I'll keep though:

Such a great collection and very similar to my own (maybe that's why I like it so much  ).

I do like seeing your figures loose as it's the way I like to display mine but a lot of what I have are still on their card backs so I can't open them ( even the new ones like the bionic man ones). They do display nicely with their cards but it's always tricky with regards to space. I've have bought the odd double of the new ones to open but it does feel a bit much to keep doubling up on everything.

Anyway, nice as ever to see your collection :D

Thanks Ian :)

I remember seeing pics of your collection in the limelight thread and thinking our tastes were very similar. I guess as a child bought up at the same time you're exposed to the same influences. I was bought up on a solid diet of Glen A Larson programmes! :D

I added a loose Mego Klingon to the collection today so now I only need another 3 figures to complete the run :)

Great Ateam pickup mike, i bought Karen the 12 inch BA figure a while ago, she loves the show, and sublevel, wow, so many cool goodies, love the variety of stuff you have very nice

Nice score with the Klingon, I've only got the humans as those aliens are quite pricey and not all that common. I did have a punt on the moc ones at the Vectis auction recently but it looked like someone else really wanted them.

Look forward to seeing your alien collection grow :D

Among my favourites are the Black Hole figures, would love to pick up a B.O.B. or S.T.A.R.R. at some point (no chance of ever getting a humanoid!).

Also trying to complete my Mego Trek Motion Picture run but those Aliens are proving hard, and expensive, to find.

My favourite by far though is my Mego Buck Rogers Starfighter. I always loved this ship design, and was surprised to see that it was one of Ralph McQuarries early designs for the Battlestar Galactica's VIPER fighter. They're hard to find complete, unyellowed and unbroken but this one came all the way from Canada from a childhood collection along with a couple of the figures in the photo too.[/quote

That Star Fighter is superb. Not seen one before, or the Mego buck. I have a loose diecast Star Fighter and will now have to find the big one :)

Love the Black Hole figs too

Wow - those bring back some memories, especially the Corgi Buck Rogers ship. I had the mini version ;) Love the Black Hole, BSG and Adventure People.

Here is my childhood collection of Inpro dinosaurs. Was the first toy I remember being really into. My Mum would take me to a small toyshop called Coles in Cirencester every couple of weeks and I'd choose a Dino from a tray under the counter. One or two of them have some battle scars! So glad I kept the Chivers Jelly mail away pack- can't find the poster that went with it though :(

I always get a bit excited when I see a new posting in this section and this one wasn't a let down as ever! :D

Great run of cards and it's always satisfying to complete a set so congrats.

Love this thread. Great new additions everyone. Gotta say tho that I fancy Daisy Duke like f--k but that face sculpt for her leaves a lot to be desired. :D .

You're not wrong, there is actually a short hair variant as well but neither look like Catherine Bach unfortunately

Thank you for the kind comments everyone :D
With vintage star wars prices going through the roof I find the other vintage lines to be (generally) more affordable :)

Lol Dude, the figure sculpt of her beautiful face actually reminds me of Zelda from the Terrahawks.

Great packaging on those figs too condrad

You can see where the modern reissues like terminator or alien got their inspiration

Conrad you always seem to have stuff I want!
Might be time for another non Star Wars showcase

I've updated my collection photos (link in my signature below) :)

Nice one I love that adventure people three pack, did you have a 'brainoid' previously or was that someone else?

Ok, here's my little contribution to this awesome thread. This is a little run of Nintendo 64 games Iv been working on for the last year or two. Iv also got a few Mario box flats coming my way. When they arrive I'll update the thread.
