Other Vintage Collections

Seeing the Action man photos begs me to ask question:

I had an Eagle Eyes, dark haired, full beard, Action Man (sounds like a dodgy lonely hearts ad) and I looked to see if I could replace him through eBay, but all the ones I was seeing have really full on flocking on the beards, that look too long. Is this because they're repro/restoration, or when new were they always a longer flock, that over time wore down to the short length I am remembering?
Not sure if the outfit mine was always in was an original set or if it was just what I ended up keeping him wearing most of the time: Navy sailor style knitted jumper with overall style denim(?) trousers, standard AM black plastic boots.

Not sure about that savoury - all the bearded ones I've seen look like they did back in the day.

This one has a very worn non-reflocked beard how does it compare?

Looks about right, I guess I'll have to keep looking, it does seem a fine balance between re-flocked, full but old flocking or worn off in patches.

my af collection , i have got more into this recently as squidhead bits for my focus are hard to come by . i just need 2 more mocs to have the complete run....minesweeper and an sas boat patrol , my aim is to have every second series toy then see if i get stuck into series one or not :?

Great AF collection Slim! :D

Just love all the red white and blue boxes together, I'm just glad I had none of these growing up or it would be another collection starting ( even though I do have the HQ play set as it's so similar to the Death Star one).

my parents still find the odd AF figure buried in the garden lol :) i actually dont remember having a lot of them though.

funny you should say that andy as all my non starwars toys i had as a kid are buried in the garden of our old house , the amount of times i was tempted to go digging lol , best not to i think

This is my little Action Force collection. Almost as iconic to me as Star Wars. Basically I had Star Wars and my cousin had AF which he thought were far superior. Of course we all know that's not true :D

Picked up this beast of a playset not long back. Possibly my favourite piece of all. Mint in box with inserts and baggies.
