Other Vintage Collections

Glad you like the boards....If any of you guys ever want to pick up any old skate stuff let me know as I have some good connections

The cards board you speak of is a Powell Peralta Ray Barbee he is a classic street pioneer.

There is a Powell Peralta documentary in the pipeline at the moment....and the rumour is the Bones Brigade are reforming.
Caballero has always been on P&P, Mike Vallely has rejoined and Lance Mountain may be heading over there...All the need then is Tommy G, Hawk, Mullen & Mcgill.

The Hawk is now signed after I met up with him in the Summer....

Signed Tony hawk board? That's awesome. That guys a legend. He was massive 20 years ago and since playstations came along he now has a whole new league of fans. It's good to see skating has never totally died.

 pig city that is one sweet collection, i still remember having some of those boards, the matt hensly and the lucero,,, i love the used ones as there are so many re-issues out there but the used ones just look the nuts,

Jimmymindtricks on here (bikerscout afficionado) i think has a similar collection,, i skill skate a lot, so any board i get gets used and usually broken .

Not sure if you still roll or even if you are old (over 21) but there is an annual skate tour of ireland every year over a long weekend called "old man city" look it up here. www.bogginzine.com

nice

My latest Robotech toy, I bought this guy when I was in the US when I was 9, traded him away a week after I got back home,
and have regretted it ever since, and now finally he has made his way back home to me, and I love him for it :)

Got this at the recent toy fair in Harrogate (along with figures in the new aquisitions thread).

If you don't know anything about them, here's the background. They were licenced to Palitoy by Mego
who were responsible for the majority of the action figures you could get throughout the 70's (until Star Wars came along).
There were Five DC characters (Batman, Robin, Joker, Penguin and Superman) and five Marvel characters
(Spiderman, Lizard, Captain America, The Thing and The Human Torch).
The Marvel guys are considered to be some of the hardest Palitoy 8" figures to find and it is said there is only one known Captain America, two Lizards (one a reseal) and four or five Things. Spiderman ranks next and then Human Torch.

Let me tell you I was stoked to get this. If you look at the little price tag it says £25 - I even had the nerve to ask if they'd take £20 which they obliged. That's £20 for something that possibly could have less than 10 in existence.
Sadly the top of the bubble has been cut but that's not really a big deal on such a rare piece. Back in 2007 an American collector was asking $15000 for one.

Here is a DC Superman which I picked up this time last year.....

Yeah those Mego dolls go for silly money. I saw a Iron Man one go for 10 grand earlier this year.
Great find mate. Are you holding onto it or gonna try and turn a huge profit?

Yeah i know exactly how you feel.
Besides, it won't go down in value so selling is always an option down the line.
:)

Wow, at a toy fair? Crikey there are still bargains out there! Why is this item worth loose mate? They both look to be in superb condition. Do the bubbles stay clear on these?

The only bubbles that seem to yellow are the later 80's ones that were on the Dukes of Hazzard anad CHiPs figures.
Loose you'd expect to pay £10 - £20. Part of me would love to stick it up for sale just to see what interest it would generate. Maybe one day.

Been a while since I updated on my Vintage BSG line. Just having a tidy up so got the stuff all together ready to be boxed and put away until I can display them.
Also have somewhere a vintage kiddies boxed cylon costume.

Loose figures. L to R:
Series 1: Starbuck / Adama / Ovion / Cylon Centurion / Daggit (Light tan) - All with cloaks and weapons.
Series 2: Baltar / Cylon Commander / Boray / Lucifer - All with weapons. These were on a 10 back card and harder to source.
Still need a Daggit (Dark Tan) & Imperious Leader but relatively easy to pick up.

I used to love those BSG figs Bez - a great collection

I'd missed Paul's palitoy spiderman, that is fantastic and at an amazing price 8) . I bought a lose Mego one for £10 which I thought was a steal at the time. I'm very envious

Very cool Bez & Paul!

Bez, why do you think they didn't make a commander Apollo? Seems like the obvious candidate for a figure?

This year i decided to put together a run of non Star Wars toys i used to buy/play with when i was a kid.
The plan is to get 1 or 2 MOCs from each line including Transformers, Thundercats, M.A.S.K etc.
Here's what i've got so far-

Transformers exact replica reissues (the originals are too expensive and these look fantastic)
L to R top to bottom: Wheeljack, Mirage, Prowl, Red Alert

Visionaries
L to R: Arzon Leoric, Cravex

Police Academy (Larvell Jones)
A lot of people don't remember these but there was a Police Academy cartoon in the mid to late 80's with a run of toys/figues. Many of which i owned including this fella.
