Thanks in advance for the help here...

I purchased this ring on ebay and supposedly its really old and English. Could any of you English chaps fill me in on what these symbols on the ring mean and maybe how old you think it is? I like it either way, just curious about its origin and meaning. BTW, there's more pictures in the description area.

The seller mentioned that the Z marking meant it was from 1863 but I don't know how that works and the pyramid marking is unknown to me. Anyone?

No idea, nice ring though and a good price!

If I were to guess I would say that triangular symbol relates to a trade maybe, there is a hand with what look like shears so perhaps a crafts guild relating to the owners line of work. Or maybe I have just been playing too much Skyrim!

Thanks for the replys guys.

After checking it out in person, the triangle insignia has 2 hands shaking so maybe you're right 2stripes, I might have been a occupation of the original owner. Possibly a trader, businessman, or maybe a politician?

And I can't take a picture of the logo next to the IBB because my wife spilled coffee in our laptop and can't upload pics right now:( but, it looks to be a cross with circles in it. Didn't notice that until I just looked. Don't know how I missed a big cross, lol.

Thanks again and any other opinions are welcome.

Sorry mods for posting this originally in the wrong section.

Its a bit of a long shot hoping someone on here knows what it is, unless it came on a 12 back. :D

Good luck.

Thanks Chubb. I'll have to check into that once my laptop is back in action. I was hoping someone on here also collected antiques sice usually SW and antique collectors intertwine.
