Repainted?

Having never seen one before it's hard to tell but it does look like a hint of lighter plastic underneath. Is the torso of a genuine one moulded in the darker colour?
Also what, if any, markings should be on the legs.

The seller is been honest with me and looking at the other bidders too, I was not the only one who thought it was a good'n.

Found out it's marked Hong Kong so that's the end of that

So was this real or repaint?
I bid on this but lost out. It looked real to me if a little faded but i wasn't sure. Will feel a lot better about losing out by £1 if it's a repaint.

Well you lost by a quid to me :lol:

The guy seling it said he got it in a job lot. He messaged me this morning to tell me somebody had messaged him to say it was painted.
I must admit, I was a little sceptical myself as I thought I could see a lighter colour just visible but took a chance.
Looking at Landos locker, the figure should have no COO, and this one does.
The guy is refunding me so all should be OK. I just said keep back £3 to cover his fees.

i had exactly the same situation before, a large lot and it had a darker brown rebel soldier in it and i quietly placed a bid with a nice high max bid (about £10 more than the lot was worth).

And i left it there and didnt really check back so i expected it would go for 20-30 quid at normal value, my max was 35 to try and get the RS.

i examined a few other ones on the bay and on landos and rebel scum and it looked like i was getting another bargain. Then after it ended i checked and the lot had hit 45 quid. :shock:

I thought i lost out but since then i have won two lots for normal prices with "dark" rebel soldiers and they turned out to be normal ones.
Either they look dark in the photo or the photo has been darkened.

But the one above was painted for sure. The dark ones have darker areas where that one has light brown (original paint)

But this stuff is what makes it fun for me ,,
