You always have a home here....we are used to it. 
My leaving RS post was hardly a look at me post, but since a decent amount of you here don't know me, you wouldn't know that my inbox gets filled up regularly with questions about bootlegs, non US SW stuff, and a number of other topics.I simply wanted to tell friends that they could find me on other forums, or via my facebook. I really don't take anything Tiefigherboy says seriously, as he seems to have a problem with me over a spanking he was dealt by John A years ago,that I don't even think I was involved in.
It also has nothing to do with wanting people kissing ass, or even commenting on it,BUT posting on a forum for 11 years then leaving, at least IMO deserves an explanation to the friends you've made there.

It does indeed. We saw how much of a shitfight it caused when you were banned originally and the thread removed. No one knew what was going on and people were coming up with their own conclusions. Which is never good. Always better to hear it from the horses mouth if you ask me.
I just can't help look at this issue in a different way Joe/Josh - sure it was a shitty thing being banned but would this all have happened if you had just not got into things with that guy on the board Joe?
At some point you have to actually realise that you earned yourself the ban and everything that followed is a direct result of you not being able to stop arguing with some nobody on an internet discussion board. I know you are a good guy at heart but was it really worth it?
I think it's all just way too dramatic for my liking and I may not agree with the heavy handedness that is happening at the moment on RS with regard to Philip's decisions and the extra moderation (I got an infraction the other day within 3 hours of telling someone to do one..first one in 6 years so yeah it's DEFINITELY changed) BUT it has come about mostly because of the silliness of your incident Joe and then what your friends/supporters did to rock the boat. It's obvious Shane not being there means there are no more friendly warnings so why would you put yourself in a position where nobody is going to have your back in an official capacity? Then get upset when you do get in the ****.
Those guys that all up and left really made things worse as well as they may be sitting there thinking "yeah I stuck it to them on RS" but they only stuck it really to their fellow collectors who do actually just want to get on with things and talk about their hobby on RS in a half decent manner, those are the guys that have to stay and deal with losing members and the increase in moderation which is turning the place into a real fun place to post..so thanks guys.
I don't want to say it..I am far from mature myself but sometimes, when I look at things like this which has literally split the community over there I can't see anything but children when I look at the 30-40 year olds doing such silly things.
IMO - if you do something that warrants a ban, you live with it. Joe, you could have just taken your one month ban, that was that - you come back, you just get on with it, you can still inform, help, discuss bootlegs WITHOUT finding a troll to **** on every week - surely that isn't good for anyones blood pressure anyways. You even have a good friend on the mod team now in Mike Ritter so it isn't all that bad surely?

The funny thing is, this is all caused by the fact the Modern section on RS cannot have new threads posted in it, without first getting permission.

Yeah I agree on that one, really strange decision to not let anyone using the forum to actually start their own thread but I think it's been like that for ages hasn't it?

I've never denied that I stepped over the line to get the initial suspension,and had it been handled properly I would have done my time, so to speak, returned and everything would have been back to normal. My initial reply to the poster I argued with wasn't anything more than me telling him that he was in the wrong section, he flipped out over that in his follow up, and the argument happened. I did take offense with the way the initial suspension was done and Philips attitude over it. I also in that month, saw many things I didn't like about the other changes to RS and decided that my spare time online would be best spent elsewhere.

I took my one month ban and was fine in my decision to leave RS, I had and have no control over what others do in dislike of Philips decisions and attitude. It's not like I'm telling others to remove their pics, and I didn't tell anyone to start posting bootleg threads during my suspension. I'm just one person and you're giving me credit for having more power than I do by thinking that I'd be able to get other posters to do these things. My current permanent ban was without any warranted infraction on my part. I posted a goodbye, as I mentioned, to tell friends that I'd be elsewhere. With 11 years of history posting there, it was certainly not to be dramatic or cause Darth Phil's forums any loss of readership. I felt that my friends there needed to know that I was done and at least a brief explanation as to why. It's not like I have mind control over these people or a hidden agenda to ruin the fun on RS. Tom Derby posted a goodbye thread explaining why he would no longer post on RS, but he didn't get banned over it. I also didn't think Phil would blow a gasket over my removing my limelight (what I think prompted his over the top action). It was just one limelight among thousands. His over the top and dictator like responses and actions are whats making people leave RS if anything. Ask Philip if it was really worth it to cause all of this rather than just let the thread run its course and allow me to bow out of RS on my own terms.
