I haven't deleted, I just won't be adding to it. I understand where Wise is coming from and understand its a dick measuring contest now. But I really don't like the new philosophy that was just introduced.

I'll air my thoughts as there is nowhere to do it on RS now..
Joe honestly shouldn't have given the newbie guy such an online ass whooping, he is a veteran of RS and he knows the rules, he is also a well respected (by many but not all) collector and his bootleg collection and his love of bootlegs is enjoyed by a lot of people around the world. In fact he can safely say that the increase of bootleg lovers in recent times is ALL because of him, he does some really amazing sales and his collection is inspiring - he also loves to feed peoples addiction so he wins the title of bootleg lord..so all said and done why waste your time by using a newbie who posted in the wrong section as a baseball and trying to hit a home run with him while things get progressively worse and no one is backing down? It was obvious a lot of the moderators were not around at the time to put a stop to it in its infancy but that isn't a green light to keep going IMO.
Now..lets look at RS, it's known for being pretty "stiff" at the best of times but us Vintage guys (whether you agree or not) for the longest time were allowed to run rampant around the boards screaming and yelling at each other with not much moderation, the odd time Shane turned up and reminded people to continue discussing the topic at hand but honestly if you go back and look at some of the older arguments you can see some pretty bad **** going on in the form of disrespectful rants and name calling.
So..Joe's argument thing happened, everyone gets a wake up call in the form of Joe getting a suspension for a month and with Shane off the team and the arguing Philip probably thinks - I guess these Vintage guys obviously aren't very good at self moderating even when the majority of the members have an average age of 30+..
I am not saying Joe's incident has spoiled it for everyone but honestly since that all went down we have had a severe increase in the moderation levels on RS and Philip (who regardless of your feelings for him can do whatever he wants - its his board) is handing out suspensions/warnings and permanently removing people that say boo to a few geese.
I think the fallout of Joe being banned and a bunch of supporters trying to **** around on RS with bumping old threads of Joe's, opening all those threads about bootlegs etc was a really nice show of appreciation for the guy but its actually turned RS into a pretty shitty place.
Whats worse is that those guys all jumped ship now and ****ed off to another board! So what was the point?
Now you have people pulling limelights left right and center just to hop on the bandwagon and it seems like RS has turned into a soap opera overnight..

I'll be the first to admit I used to enjoy the witch hunts and the arguing as it made for fun reading sometimes, I also took part in many slanging matches over the last 6 years on RS and just recently got a warning for telling someone to **** off but at the end of the day, it's Phil's forum. Heavy handed approach to things or not it's the dudes forum!
In comparison, when **** gets bad here and people cross the line Edd steps in and that's that - he pays for it and we use it. Anyone wanting to argue the toss after Edd has had his final say on things is probably going to either be ejected or have to leave of their own accord. I guess I don't get why people see RS as an different, everyone seems so shocked at Philip turning up and laying down the law on his own board its really odd. It's not like Joe in this incident was in the right -he went around the language filter on purpose to get pot shots in on the guy he was arguing with (so I hear) and that's one of their rules! The other guy got banned too for the same reason.
