I once dropped a ROTJ Leia Poncho and the bottom of the (yellow) bubble came off. Thankfully nothing too rare or expensive.

Found the photo, knew I had one somewhere :)

I used to keep all my MOC'S in starcases under my bed. One night my girlfriend and I were being particularly energetic and the bed broke. Fortunately very little damage occured considering how bad it could have been. Starcases saved the day.

I've had a couple of bad moments in the last few weeks...

Can't display my AT-AT Driver Mocs at the moment due to lack of space so they're in the loft - each one is in one of Christian's acrylic cases which in turn is in the bubble wrap and individual outer cardboard cases that they come in. I was moving stuff around up there and was in the process of putting these individual boxed Mocs into the larger shipping cases, when I knocked a pile of them through the loft hatch onto the floor of the room below. As if this fall wasn't enough (which must be a drop of about 10 feet), it was made worse by the multitude of additional impacts dished out by the ladders as they met the Mocs on the way down. 9 Mocs fell out of the loft and fortunately none of them were damaged; heart in my mouth for a while though!

On a less satisfactory note - I was thinking of selling my Kenner Stretch Monster. It is in great nick complete with box and polystyrene trays. The whole package should be a solid £300 to £350 based on eBay sales.... Took some photos so I could list it and then left it in the spare room. Woke up to the sound of my 5 year old son making a racket and found him charging around the house with my stretch monster - don't mind that at all - just wished he hadn't ripped the box into 20 pieces to get to him! At this rate the boy's not going to make it to be 6...

Jesus you were lucky, Martin! I would have been bricking it. And your lad does not sound like he'll make it to 6

I bought a mint Imperial Commander on Palitoy 65 back from Vectis. It survived the journey to me and, after unpacking I decided to do the sensible thing and at least put it in the display cabinet until I got some acrylic to case it up. It was on top of a box I had picked up to move to the cabinet and it slid off, landed absolutely vertically on the top of the card and by the sound it made I KNEW it wasn't going to be good. Sure enough, 1" crack across the top of the bubble. Not worth much but I was devastated to destroy it. What a twat.

I stacked 5-6 of my AFA graded 12 backs in the garage to move them from one spot to another and when I turn I hit something and they all came tumbling down. This resulted in 4 of the cases with cracks and one was bad enough that I had to send it back to AFA for re-casing. Took over 6 months to sort out and would never ever stack them like that again. Stupid stupid thing to do.

A few weeks back I bought a 12 back R2. My wife came to me holding the parcel in both hands. " Whats this then ?" she said in a teasing mood.
Then without warning she shook it really hard up and down for a couple of seconds.
Then she got angry when I shouted at her to stop and " What The **** are you doing!!!"
Fortunately it had been packed well but if it had ripped the bubble up I don't know what I'd have done.
