I suspect they might just be enjoying pointing that out to you as well!

The Biggest Dissapointment has been Russia so far - 5 Golds 17 Silvers and 15 Bronze for a nation who had 23 Gold and was above us in 3rd last time

Thats a surprise actually as they use to always be one of the top teams, even in gymnastics along with Romania, they are no longer the worlds best.

Just been watching mens shot putt.

Then realised after a while that it was in fact the womens!!

That Belarusian 'bird' is definitely one for Todd!

PS, Congrats to Australia for winning their second gold! They are now up to the dizzy heights of 19th in medal table. Though still below NZ!

Should be a good day today for the brits.

mens triathlon with the Brownlee brothers will be great viewing

chances in canoe, high jump and triple jump ( or hop, skip and jump , what we used to call it at school)

been a cracking olympics so far :D

The wife aint too happy!!

I was dreading the Olympics but I gotta say it's been awesome so far. The roads in town are dead, you can nearly always use Olympic lanes in the day, and to top it off, Team GB are flying.

Glad all those that were no looking forward to it are enjoying the Olympics.

You whinging gits

Olympics have turned out to be the highlight of what has been a rough couple of weeks in our household. Taken the kids to three events and got to see the Brownlee's win the other day and taken the wife to a couple of events in the park, which is a cracking place. Night off tonight and then flipping a coin tomorrow to see who is taking my daughter to the women's basketball semi (I suspect not me). And I must say, no trouble with transport and the games staff, army and all have been great.

We went to the Rowing the other day as I turned up on the wrong day for Canoeing. Got the family up at 5 and headed over to Eaton picked up the tickets to be told that I was a week early for the event....What a twat. The staff took one look at the ticket and let us in for the Rowing instead. All good not a canoeing or Rowing fan just wanted to take the kids to an event. Tickets for all four of us were £50 so not too bad. The staff were excellent so friendly and helpful and the having the Army there made sure there was no trouble or dickheads, can only imagine what it would have been like if the GS4 pricks were running security. I also left it up to the 5 year old daughter to navigate our way onto the brand new double deckers laid on to get us back to the park & ride service. Needless to say we got on the wrong bus. The driver was taking us back to the venue so as we could get on the correct bus - as we were the only people on the bus he just said he would drive the four of us direct to the car park, what a gent.

We now have tickets for the Paralympics Wheelechair basketball and the Athletics which I picked up for **** all last week before all the tickets disappeared. I do enjoy hearing all the people who were down on the Olympics before it started now eating their words "oh the roads are fine, public transport is great etc etc"

I've been down to the Park for the handball and it was excellent. I was a bit of a prat though and have held on before buying tickets for the paraolympics thinking there were tonnes let - there aren't and am gutted now - will have to hope that there are more available as would love to get into the stadium itself

Handball - who knew. Saw a couple of games the other night, great fun and clearly some major rivalries about which was great fun to watch.
My wife picked up a load of equestrian and athletics Paralympic tickets a few weeks back, I think they will be as well supported and as good as the stuff we have been seeing these last few weeks.

And this is happening just a few minutes down the rd from me!!

Enjoying it much more that I thought I would.

Managed to get tickets for the paralympics 8)

I stand by what I said about the money being taken from the rest of the UK's sports budget and also that there are definitely better uses that we could have put the money to. Albeit the Government had no way of knowing how ****ed our economy would be when they applied to host the Olympics, so I'll excuse them that.

My comments were more aimed at the Daily Mail brigade who were predicting London coming to a standstill and everyone having to hoarde food etc. I totally agree with your thoughts though. Still it's nice to see the two Bullingdon Boy chinless wonders enjoying themselves the twats...

Lol, I know you weren't having a go at me in particular, don't worry.

One thing I would say though, if you're gonna get wound up by the Daily Mail and it's dim wit readers, be prepared to be wound up a hell of a lot!

I don't even bother reading that rag cos my face ends up hurting from face palming so much, such is their level of paranoia and stupidity.
