Ok guys who knows anything about this ebayer

I can understand the high end items selling for big bucks, but....

LL Biker Scout sold for £90! Rebel Commando sold for £25, Emperor Royal Guard sold for £27! These prices are uterly ridiculous! You can pick these up any day of the week for a fraction of the price.

Has anyone totted up his total takings? He must be up to 6-7k I would have thought!

The rebel commando and the ERG is just plain odd..... You can get them moc for the sale prices.

Nah I think the figure is pre production, Jeff said his has a date stamp as well. Mattias seemed to think it was a first shot too. I class it together with the HK Wicket - perhaps no 'proof' or provenance that they are first shots- but they certainly are not production pieces.

But do you agree that in that thread there is no conclusion drawn?
Josh Blake said No most likely just the hood, Tom said NO, Jeff didn't seem to say either way but looked to be going with what Tom had sent him. The only similarity with it to the other pieces is the color of the molded hood. That's it.
Do you agree with all that?

Yes agreed. Reading through Jeff's limelight someone asked about the Romba grade and Jeff linked back to the same thread I linked to. Is there a way to look on the AFA site to see what first shots/ pre production Rombas have been graded?

Pablo A, CJ and Bryan Simmons all have examples without hoods, does anyone else have a dark brown Romba?
For the record, I no longer have mine. The one Pablo has might have come from me via trade, I just can't remember. It did have dates, but was still considered a first shot. If not, then it got traded/sold when I sold off my POTF first shots years ago. Also, there is a Romba prototype shot in a pinkish type color that is in collector's hands as well. I don't know if this one has dates or not.

EDIT 850 pounds for a first shot hood & uber rare variant ( I still think preproduction figure)

The chocolate coulored Romba is same colour as the painted sample and known hard copies. There are no known production chocolate coloured Rombas found on cards.

I have only seen 2 light brown Romba hoods. One was moulded light brown and painted standard colour, the other was on a Lumat in Gus Lopez Prototype book - very similar (possibly the same) as the one Adam sold earlier.

One link says it is, and one link says it's maybe. Honestly can't see any clear conclusion from those two links, Oli.

Lol, well i dont see anything on either page (in the SWCA PROTOYPE section) that infers it is not a prototype :)

Also replied to the post on RS! looks like I'm following you :)

The fact that there have been other dark brown Rombas in hard copy or protomoulded with accompanying matching colour swatches and that this one was found with a pre-production colour hood are strong pieces of evidence IMO.

And there seems to be no evidence (such as carded examples) to oppose.
