I have a file from work that I need to open but can't. it's a midi file.

when I try, that window pops up saying 'windows cannot open this file'

any ideas?

It's a music file. Windows Media Player should be able to play it.

There is a free MDI viewer here although I don't know how safe the site is :

Sure Andy, (plantman) can point you in the right direction on a free viewer program if that one above doesn't help.

you might be best off with this

it converts the file into a pdf which will be viewable in adobe, its a microsoft file with similar attributes to pdf format and print to image conversion, there probably is a few freeware programs out there like in the like above and other threads
