Good news all around gents.
Good news 1;
I've managed to convince the owners of the Motor Home to let me take it earlier on the Thursday.
There is a chance that we could make the 1615hrs crossing to Calais arriving at 1835hrs local.
This means that we may be able to arrive at the campsite by midnight.
If i don't book the 1615hrs ferry the next one is 2 hours later.
Good news 2;
The ferry works out cheaper than the tunnel, less than half the price!!
Instead of my initial costings of £200, it should cost £88 for the 4 of us.
Good News 3;
The price for the ferry will remain the same even if there is a fifth (Bram? :wink: )
Good news 4;
My revised costings including Motor Home Hire, fuel, ferry and insurance is; £147 each if there are 4 of us, reducing to just £118 if we have a fifth!!
We will obviously have to add food, drink and campsite fees, but its still a bloody good deal.
Oh and by the way Frank, it does have a DVD player!
I'll be booking the ferry tonight. Do i book it for 4 of us or 5?
