Hey Iain. Unfortunately not we operated a Youth Team up until 2010/11 when for some it was scrapped. So nope.

We have been shafted by the fa again though. Cambridge were in an identical postion last season for their play offs. their only goalkeeper was injured in the play off first leg but they will allowed a emergency loan by the FA because it was "exceptional circumstances"

Obvously ours are ntexceptional enough then? One rule for and one for another unfortunately. The writing was on the wall though after we conceded so eary. Our only hope was to hold out for a long period and hoped they panicked. Anything weirdly it has got a bit of press attention with national newspapers picking up the story and us being featured on BBC/ITV local news for the first time ever.

Also were a total shambles. Our manager has lost the dressing room and teammates were arguing amogst one another - never a good sign. Bit of a joke at the moment.

Shame - noticed you had Karl Hawley playing for you (and getting sent off) - he used to be a decent enough player. I am amazed that you don't have some sort of youth set up - I thought every club did to some extent

I think there is a few Part Time Conference teams who dont operate youth teams but your right it is rare.

Yeah dissapoinyed in Karl last night. He has vast FL experience and should know better than lashing out with no fit subs/gk. He is inst interesting in playing for the shirt. Got 1 decent perfoirmance out of him all season against his former club on TV. In some ways He single handlely relegated Torquay last season and you can see why.

Anyway our manger has announced clear the air talks with the players and chairman tomorrow morning

FA Cup First Round Draw

Norton/ v Gateshead
Grimsby v Oxford
Eastleigh v Alfreton/Lincoln

Awful draw for us but it may be inmaterial as we barely have 11 fit players for tommorrow and no GK! an outfield player will play in net!

Chiffy. Decent draw for you. A league club at home, winnable and they may bring a few too.
Rich - Very good draw for you. Where even is Shildon? Is it near Gateshead?

Norton defeated Shildon 2-1 tonight

We had the clubs launch of next years calendar and the official gtfc sticker book yesterday and heres the twitter and facebook photo with my lad Callum in, he's well chuffed is little point Dexter

Wish I'd noticed this last season. Anyway, is the vanarama on tv anymore. As a luton fan, am still big on the spirit of the confrence and go watch guisely and farsley regularly, used to love putting a confrence game on the box rather than watching the money bags.

Any kiddy fans? Loaned you a quality player today. Robinson will do well for you.

Rich

Hey Rich. Great to see we have another Conference fan aboard.

The Conference is still shown live on BT Sport from time to time.

No Kiddy fans unfortunately as far as I know.

Seems that you have adapted well to League 2. Shows their is is not a lot of difference between League 2 and the conference

Congrats to him but shocked by that to be honest. It wasnt that long ago that be were calling for his head and awful draws with Alty and Dartford werent great.

To be honest Liam so were we. Steve Burr at Chester picked up 1 point more than us last month but i suppose it's cos we were unbeaten and they lost a game. Yesterday was another boring, non event as we blew Dartford away without even trying. I't's hard to describe our performances without it coming across as we are ace and we dont have to do much to beat teams but believe me its exactly the opposite. We are still playing shite, unentertaining football but the teams put infront of us are just not good enuff to do anything against us if that makes sense? I always say, and yesterday was a prime example, if Dartford had been playing a half decent team like Barnet or Gateshead, they wouldve had 8 put past em' Hope that makes sense :)
I shouldnt moan as we seem to be in cruise control at the moment but were playing the same way as when we were all calling for his head, nothing has changed performance wise apart from the results have started to come. This is without our 3 best players Scotty Brown, Scott Nielsen and Ross Hannah. I think, to be honest, theyre all on um bongo or mushrooms or summits pre game and that gets the lads thru
I see your boys got 3 points at Telford. How did you play? Deserved or clung on for dear life? I'm presuming Bradders played? He was telling me that his injury was only a bruise and nothing to worry about altho' the way he was crying about it when it happened was like he was about to have his head amputated!

Hey Chiffy mate. At least the results are coming now for you boys

Yeah I made the journey to Alty yesterday (not telford  )

To be honest it was too poor teams yesterday and it looked every inch a Conference North game

First 15 minutes it was all Alty. They started much more assured than us and we looked a few yards off the pace. Alty best chance being a Lawrie free header in the middle of the box put over.

Then we really seemed to get a head of steam going put them under pressure with a few corners. and scored a scrappy goal but they all count. After our goal Alty heads completely dropped. Nothing really happened then until the final 10 minutes. Alty were unclucky to score with a cross being delected on to his post by a alfreton defender and somehow cleared!

Then massive Drama in the final minute of added time. One final hopeful pump forward towards Reeves who was totally anonymous BTW and PEN. Stupid challenged by Goalscorer Graham and Pen to alty in the 94 Minute!
Thank **** that Cameron pulled off a superb save. Absolute hero.

Ah right sorry pal for some reason i got you mixed up with Bristol Rovers! Let's hope you go on a run now.

Gonna look for a bt sports link.

Well pleased to see halifax doing so well after loosing there two strikers over the summer.

Hope Nuneaton start pickin up points, always go watch them in march for some reason, always a fun day then a few ales round hinkley, which isn't as fun..

So the sole surviving SWFUK non league side is Gateshead following their 4-0 trouncing of Norton United.

Next at home to Giant Killers Warrington in Round. Another very good draw for you guys.

Polar opposite to our section which turned out to be rubbish even had we managed to get through there was no reward

Alfreton/Lincoln v Kiddy/Eastleigh - Lincoln v Eastleigh - Eastleigh v Dagenham/Southport. What a load of crap!

Sorry Rich we let ourselves down in that game. The tactics seemed to be were not that bothered. We had attacking options on the bench but just subbed like for like which was a bit **** but i cant argue with teh gaffer wanting to concentrate on finally getting us out of this **** hole.
Well, the Oxford game was sandwiched in between a win at Braintree and last nights win over Halifax. Weve now won 5 league games on the trot and have kept 5 clean sheets in the last 6.
Away to Altrincham this weekend. I'll be there along with approx 1000 other town fans which looks on paper like a straight forward 3 points on our quest but ive seen it all before and we need Barnet to keep ****ing up. UTM <><
PS If you like a bet then take a punt on our captain Shaun Pearson. Centre half who comes up for all set pieces and scored on both Saturday AND last night. 1st goalscorer is usually over 20's and anytime around 9's i reckon :D

Well, we have a near fully fit squad to choose from at last! From the start of the season weve had no end of injuries to contend with so im hoping to push on towards overtaking Barnet. We could now field 2 1st teams just about. Interesting to see we travelled to Corby Town, 2nd place in the evostik southern league, on Wednesday night for a friendly and thrashed them 13-1 with a team made up of our usual subs bench plus a few lads back from injury. So, no doubt we will lose to Altrincham tomoz

Nice work chiffy. No matter the opposition and the circumstances its nice to win 13-1. We Played Mansfield and Lost 4-2. Carl Lamb scoring our two goals so we signed him up after his release by Chesterfield.

Our game against Dover tomorrow is massive. Its look doubtful tho its not stopped raining here all day!!

Well im still angry from yesterday so i wont dwell too much but we took 800 fans Alty and we were lucky to get a draw! Our supporters were even fighting amongst each other at 1 point as weve had a threat of points deduction for the continual use of smoke bombs and pyros by certain morons in our section. Already settling for the play offs. Anyways, heres a few photos of some of our so called supporters. Great numbers, utter wankers. As our song goes, " We're the best behaved supporters in the league.....We're a right bunch of bastards when we lose" :|
