Well, no disrespect to Welling, but if we have any promotion ambitions at all we should be mopping these games up. We turned up yesterday and Laim Hearn and Shaun Pearson, our best 2 players, pulled out pre game with illness and in turn that knocked us for 6 and in the end we got caught on the break with a few minutes to go and the rest is history. Onto Alfreton then. Couple of quality results, I guess Kempson aint playing at the mo lol. Thought the loss of Arnold wouldve seen a downturn in fortunes but obviously the capture of Bradders has more than made up for that. I was speaking to him yesterday and he told me he even got an assist :lol: Are you coming over to our place mate. Would be my 1st meet up on here ( besides Timbo who lives up the road :wink: ) and always up for a few pints, we've got SKY, Caffreys on tap and crates of Hooch in my local! :mrgreen:

Well quite happy weve just donr Liam's boys. To be fair, Alfreton were the better team in the 1st half but we hit them on the break. Nicky Laws lad looking the best of their bunch. Returning Bradley Woods was crap when i expected him to deal with everything with his prior knowledge of our players and Fenton, who used to play for us also, constantly, moaned, fouled and was outmuscled by Jean Lionel Lewis the unit. Up next Hyde away on BT Sports Monday teamtime

PS Does someones season start on Monday? Definatly? This time lol where's that elusive 1st win gonna come from mate?

Had Grimsby on my coupon. That was a cert. only problem was I had Carlton who were 3-1 down and Everton. Then Charlton got abandoned! And you know the rest...

Hi Chiffy. Congrats on the win! By all accounts its sounds like you deserved it.

For some reason Nicky left a lot of players on the bench. We haven't quite found our feet on the road yet but as long as the Impact stays a fortress we should be ok.

We were utter crap today. Worst performance so far and at half time 2-0 down at home... Got lucky in the second half.

But to be honest we are a league above where we should be as has been shown from the last 2 seasons and survival. We need to find some experienced players at this level and not rely on kids.

PS Cant believe how well Alfy and Nuneaton have started Nuneaton at home on Saturday top of table clash already 8)

Well after our 1-2 home defeat to Nuneaton wasnt good enuff and because we are such a massive club stuck down here in the land of tinpot, we have just sacked 1 of our managers after 5 games! Yes, we are so huge we had 2 managers. Only 1 now then so Paul Hurst in charge. The other fella Rob Scott was the mouthy 1 and probably the biggest incident down this end was when some guy was complaining in the stands about how **** the football was and Scott said " if you dont like it then dont ****ing come! " :twisted:

BTW What has happened to wrexham this year. Expected them to be play off challengers again but i know its early doors but their no where :?

I don't know mate but they lost 1 of the leagues best defenders to you lot! I always set a marker each season that if we are above Wrexham and Luton then i'm happy but god knows whats going on in the valleys?
