Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask the question, seemed the most relevant given the topic.

I once saw an interview with (in)famous Star Wars collector NIGO and he boasted tobeing one of only 4 people to have a complete collection - I'm assuming he meant figures?!

How many on here can contest that? Just curious.

Also one random throwout there - has anyone come across the wee Hong Kongese/Chinese Star Wars enthusiast/shopkeeper in HK. I bought the die cast 12" Falcon off him on a recent trip and had a good chinwag with him. Proper enthusiast, even had full size troopers and vadar, sadly couldnt afford nor fit into the overhead cabin ;).

Cheers all.

My opinion would be false on a complete collection out of 4 remark. The questions should be, what does he constitute as a complete collection? Who are the other 3 and what makes their collections complete? I doubt Steve Sansweet himself would say he has a complete collection and he has been collecting pretty much everything from the beginning, but there are still pieces he is actively looking for.

To me a complete collection is defined by the collector. I can say I have a complete loose collection, but a variant collector would say, I am missing a lot of figures. Each collection is different and every collector has different tastes. Also, if you get to the point of saying your overall collection is complete, then that should mean you are no longer seeking any items, and thus really no longer a collector. He mentions himself that he does not have a rocket fett. If that is an item he wants in his collection, then his collection is no longer complete.

He has an amazing collection and I wonder if some of his comments were messed up during the translation process.

There would not be too many complete 3 pack collections?? Maybe that's what he was talking about. But like Shawn said- damn impressive collection and translations can get screwed up & mistimed.

Now that you mention that I think that is possible on what he meant. I know the number of complete 3 pack collections isn't very high.

Holy ****!!!

That is ****ing amazing.

I think that fella has a bit of spare cash floating about!!!

But he's "not that big a SW fan, the most he has spent on a SW item is ONLY $12,000!"

when he says 12,000 i think he means HK dollars, equates to 930 sterling....

But he does have the means.

Or not, he would definitely have to spend more than that for some of the figures he has, those sealed three packs aren't cheap!

Yep that proto white cardboard 3 pack has to be a few grand, Washu was selling his for a fair whack on RS a while ago!

He doesn't know much about SW, that Mexican figure is definitely a Garindan. Don't you think so Joe? :?

haha did you read my comment to that guy? What a tool!

there is some serious money spent on that collection. Nice to have the money to do that. Would it not be great to have unlimited funds to spend on star wars

Has that guy or pics from his collection been posted on the forum before? Either that or I have a really bad sense of deja-vue
I'm certain I've seen all that lot before, bloody impressive though.

I've seen it before too, i think possibly on scum.

Very very impressive, if only i had the spare cash and the room to do the same lol.
