Well I have been moping about like a dog with no bone for weeks since we moved house & the sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad sad loss of my mancave I spent a year making at the last place boo hu hu

Well I now have a pokey little office room to put to use, but I have shelving to build init befor I can do anything & there always seems to be a huge list of other (according to SHMBO that is) jobs that need doing, so it keeps getting shunted to the back of the list, I am sure your feeling that & identifying with it guys

The good news is I picked up a few ex shop display cabinets which the good lady has kindly (after some pressure from me) has let me put round the house to ease the burden of the little office space, I also got my loose figure DIY wall cabinets mounted in the back hall when she was not looking :p

So this is what I got so far, quite please I am not looking at all of my collection through cardboard boxes at last -

Wish me luck, I'm going to need it! the plan is to have wall to wall 3" wide shelves for my graded baggies, but its going to take a while, but really looking forward to getting stuck into the build now.

Thanks Ben, no its got my little pony stuff in   yeah I have 12 in there I think, the baggies don't come sealed though sadly, heat seal one end open the other.

& before you ask, no oranges in the other boxes

great display frank , you have some rare mailers there  , i like those perspex wall units alot , did you make them or buy them like that ?

****ing hell, awesome display cabinets. How many Power Droids do you need. Love the Boxed ships W/ the baggy figures included the most. Kudos.

Thanks guys, slowly getting there.

@ Slim - Yeah its been a long haul with the multi packs, there are thought to be just over 100 in total, got about 35ish to date, think its a life time focus with several having not surfaced "yet" god knows how many are actually out there, but some seem to come along frequently & others hardly ever.

I made the wall mounted cabinets from scratch as I had the picture in my minds eye of how I wanted them to display & there was nothing on the market like it, so kit bashed them together, I need to make some more at some point for the growing power droid masses.

@ Grant - Yeah I have a real soft spot for the special offer ships, be nice to think one day I could put a full run together, but its not likely, though never in a million years thought I would get this far & as for power droids - how many, enough to plan world domination :p another 500 should do it :)

Fantastic display Frank, can't wait to see the rest of it out and proud as well.

Love the display cabs as well, congrats and getting a part of your heaven back on display :D

Amazing collection and display cabinets look fantastic. Look forward to seeing it finished, you'll probably need a couple more bottles of Vodka though.

Good to see you settling in and getting your collection back on display.

The Gonk shelves look great 8)

Good luck in the new place.

35 packs so far...thats some collection by itself never mind your other stuff :D good skills making those cabinets they look super

And I thought you just collected baggies

This and your recent haul Frank, you have a collection any vintage collector would be very proud to own, love the wall displayed cabinets showing off your loose figures.

Thanks for all the kind words guys really happy with what's out so far & its so pleasing to actually see it rather than cardboard boxes.

@ Michael Sith - you & me both, can't wait to get the tiny display room up & running, sanded my first support post for the shelves tonight, hey its a start.

@ theforceuk - much beer is likely to be consumed during the build & the other half has some sloe gin on the go :p

@ JuniorChubb - good luck?, yeah I am going to need it buddy.

@ TFB - No the case is sadly not full, 8 or 12 in there I think, but I'm happy with it for $200 :)

@ slim - 35 has been a hell of a long haul to put together, wish me luck tracking more down, its not getting any easier I can tell you.

@ Stormtrooper37 - huge thanks on the compliment, got a bit too much stuff really especially with that haul, but I bet it won't stop me adding to it lol, I try to focus on baggies & baggie related stuff & stay on target, but I am easily side tracked  & have little side focuses going on for all sorts, nowhere near as bad as I was when I started but have little runs of these aside the baggie related goodies -

Power droids
miss cards
star tots
loose - full set with some variants
loose raised bar coo figures
77 back offerless droid MOC's - only need a Zuckuss & I'm done thankfully
a few modern bits
the 3 droids from the vintage 3 packs MOC's & such, hope to get a 3 pack at some point without shelling out a kidney.

Glad you all like the loose figure cabinets, may have a go at making some for the members if there is interest??

Very nice mate. Really like the cabinet with the boxed ships 8) Also love the ESB 6 pack- remember seeing these in John Lewis as a kid.

Not got anything pre production Chris, sadly there are only a few pre production pieces for the power droid know to exist & I missed one a little while back :|

Sothe 6 packs were available over here then? thanks for the info, thought they were US issue only like the MP's, you learn something new every day eh.

Gone back several times Frank, some superb pieces there mate, lovely to see.

Six pack ...very nice mate
Love the loose displays they look great in those units.

Whats the story with the Stormie taking 5 sat on the cabinet  conscientious objector ?
