New forum software and design

Good bit of tinkering Edd, looks great! Feedback was pretty good too, well done chaps!

Putting everything on the left again is perfect - now just feels like an updgrade rather than a complete change

Would it be possible to change the font colour across the board though - so in the replies, messages and new post area's as well

Whenever anything i changed there will always be teething problems and things to rectify.

Edd, I tip my hat to you sir. You have listened to us moany old gits and made small changes that make a big difference.

Well done buddy.

I love the changes, the whole site seems to be much more user friendly. Great job Edd and a difficult one. I mean lets face it this Forum is for a load of blokes who are still collecting toys from 30 - 40 years ago, we don't like change.

I think it also takes time in to consideration - if you edit immediately it doesn't seem to show that it's been edited (I assume to allow people to quickly correct typos.)

After a couple of days of phone and PC browsing the only glitch I see is that new pms aren't flagged on the mobile version - anyway of reinstating the old pop up window?

First time on for a while.
Edd i'm loving your work, i have no idea how you know what you know, but what i do know is you know your stuff.
Really neat work and after having looked through all of the posts in this thread you've really ironed out all of the Gremlins.

Now can you come over to my house and sort out the slight time delay on my surround sound?

Agree, after a few days now on this format it's spot on, the avatars on the wrong side was the only thing that really threw me but now back in the left I think it looks great and it's easy to navigate. Good work.

Unfortunately you can't do pop up windows on mobiles, and the new forum software doesn't use them any more. You should still get an email when a PM comes through.

Can the Detention Centre be moved back to the top of the vintage collecting chat again as it was before ?

So we can read about some of the fantastic nice guys on this forum :D

Do you mean this one?

I must admit I looked through it before un-stickying and it just looked likes pages and pages of throwaway chat, and nobody had commented on it for a month. I don't want loads of sticky threads as it clogs up the board, do people really consider this an important one?

No this thread with the interviews. I thought it would be cool for new memebers to see the interviews and it will only be updated when richard do a interview :D

And Edd when do we see an interview with you ?

Perhaps it would be better to start a new thread instead.
