The new editing rules on RS make that you can't edit a post after 2 days (except for first posts in classifieds and limelights). This has the consequence that posts like the Toy Contents Guide by Paul Naylor can't be finished the way he wants to. I think this is weird. Why fix what isn't broke in the first place.

If they don't change it, Paul can come here if he wants.

Glad I am not the only one that is a bit cheesed off with all the new changes, RS might have looked dated but it functioned just perfectly IMO.

PM limits, edit rules, no favourite thread ability..hell I even miss the little flashing envelope lol

There are a load more niggling little things I don't like but those are the main ones. (for example I bookmarked only the vintage section but I can't see how many people are viewing each section unless I go to the main forum..)

I just don't like change- the search function is horrible & I refuse to edit/delete my PMs so I can't send or recieve. I might open a new account 'aussiejames2' just so I can send PMs !

RS is becoming a very unfriendly place, cumbersome to use and not that great a community. Its only good to for the sales due to the size of it and its breadth.

Haven't been on since these changes came into effect, but sounds like they are a doing an Ebay-esque job about changing things!

I just had to delete my 800 pms, no way I was going to go through them all to see if I wanted to keep any!

yeh totally agree about the limited IN/out box AND the fact you can't edit your original post, I mean WTF?? This means that once you've sold an item it's still up there with its original price!!

Yeah I really miss the envelope.

I much prefer the old system. The edit thing is stupid, that is going to cause a lot of problems.

Perhaps it would be better to start a new thread instead.
