First off all I apologize if this post doesn't belong here, But this is the first ever forum i've been apart off.
Hi all i was wondering if anyone could help me with some advice. i have been collecting horror movie memorabilia for years and recently i decided to move on to my second passion, Star wars i have a few figures mainly clone wars and the black series 6" figures, but since everyone one here are experts on this What series of figures is the easiest and most attainable to start my collection. Any help would mean alot. Thanks

99% of the guys on here only collect vintage figure produced between 1977 & 85, this modern section does not get the traffic some of the other sections do.

But there are a few nice modern lines, the black series your already going for is a good choice, there is also a modern vintage line which is nice & a good starting point, you may also want to check out the gentle giants 12" range

Good luck with your new collecting focus & good choice of first forum to join as they are a great bunch on here.

You may also want to consider a collection of loose vintage figures as its atainable without totally rapeing your wallet, depending on condition obviously.

Thanks for the tip Frunkstar definitely going to look for gentle giants as ive heard of them before and for the idea of the loose figures is great.

Hi there.
Welcome

You need to decide what you want to collect and what is best for you and your budget.

Some ideas may me to collect what you had in your Youth? Collect your favourite era? Clone Wars? Vintage? Or choose a favourite character or theme? Empire Strikes Back? Return of the Jedi? Cantina Aliens? Droids?

There is a Modern series for every budget

The easiest and most atainable would be the Ep1 and POTf2 era items.

The most rewarding and interesting series?

Gentle Giants
Vintage Collection
Some Clone Wars
Legacy Collection Some very nice vehicles playsets battelpacks made. Ultimate Battle Pack Hoth, Endor etc (which have been re released in 2014 packinging)

Finally dont rush into any decisions and if youre unsure ask any questions here. Good Luck :)

Thanks Dark Sith Lord i don't know if this is the correct way off replying to a post but i would probably say my childhood was just before the prequels and i have a few prequel figures but i find them slightly dull compared to the vintage and the repackaged vintage ones. I was thinking starting "The saga continues" series as ive found a few on amazon and Ebay plus a few local stores. And i would like to say thank you again for making me feel welcome.

You might want to go peruse the www.jedibusiness.com website. This gives a great run down of the figures across all the collections. Aside from vintage, which is king, there are some terrific modern figures to collect. The black series 6 inch has some great figures. I would advise the following questions to consider:

do you want to collect mint on mint carded? Or loose. Both have their challenges.
Once you have a collection starting, what are you going to do with it? Stick it in the loft or display it proudly..
What sort of time and money can you afford on the collection? Stick with your principles of what you want and try to stay focused, otherwise you end up collecting everything and you can get overwhelmed.

Anyways, I hope you post here often and we can have some good stuff appearing in the modern section.. :)

naughtyjedi thanks for the advice and in answer to your questions i would love to have the figures displayed in the boxes and out of them (which will certainly drain my funds) also im not that rich but i do have a few hundred from selling my horror memorabilia to kickstart the collection if you will. Also ive just purchased a few potf figures in the boxes and they look in great condition but aside from the vintage im starting the black series 3.75" and the 6" and as many of the modern vintage collection as i can.

yea chiffy ive seen the potf 2 figures going for free basically and the prequel stuff im going to be getting for sure thats my childhood right there
