Anyone else still interested in these guys?

The new single Check my brain has one of the best sounding riffs I have heard for a very long time! A constant rhythmic droan thats ****ing stunning loud!

Cant wait to see them next month

fairplay sorry mate...was just kidding.

Not my bag musically, but hope the gig is a good un.

WTF!?

Actually never been to a concert in my life. Live music always sounds shite IMO. I preper actually being able to make out what the singer is saying, rather than having my ears bleed cos the base is set so high or the drums are so loud!

I agree Dom that album was brilliant.

Also Weasel your correct live music sounds ****. It takes a really great band to perform and sound really great live. Pink Floyd are amazing live. They sound as good live as they do on Cd and Im not even that keen on Floyd but they deserve a mention as far as live music goes.

Just a note about live music - it is quite true that its never exactly the same as listening to it on a CD but the whole point is to see them play live, the atmosphere, the crowd (+ the alcohol) etc that's pretty much long and short of it, if you don't "get" live music (even if its never as polished as a CD) then you probably don't get music at all

I think in fact, if I went to see a band that played exactly like the CD with no interjection of humour, mistakes, creative changes of the music and lyrics (I.e improvisation) I would be pretty bored and disappointed, why spend £25-30 quid on a ticket to see a bunch of people trying to sound as perfect as they do in the studio when the CD costs £10 and you can listen to it whenever you want!

Live music is great and I do think everyone should at least go see one show in their lifetime (even if they don't like the music being played)

Of course, there is no excuse for being absolute pish live - that's something completely different
