I've just noticed that this book is now finished and can be pre-order but what do you all think about sending the money before they're printed?

I'm not sure if I'm reading it right as they seem to mention some date at the end of the month and as I don't hold a facebook account I can't ask them any questions. Also I'm only really interested in the first book so I don't know if these things can be bought individually. If any one has any thoughts or info on any of this then please pass it on.

I can't see this appealing to many folk at €150 and covering vintage and modern. Very similar to what those guys on RS aren't producing. Even down to the pre-payment.....

That's what I was thinking about the pre-payment although it looks like they've got them finished though. maybe it's worth asking them if they'd just sell the first one?

I really like the layout of this book, have been following it on facebook but like Spoons, I don't think I could personally justify spending that amount on a book especially when about 60-70% of it is not going to appeal to me (modern).

I must admit though, they have some lovely looking Vintage sections, check these out:

Pretty sure I saw a section on Ledy somewhere too, not sure where that picture is though!

I gotta give them a bit of love though, someone on their facebook page mentioned their Trilogo section looked a bit small and they linked my site for anyone wanting a more "complete" read

It does look a really nice book and I love all the bootlegs but as you said it's too much just for the one book we (all) have interest in. Maybe you could ask them about selling just the first one through this forum Joe?

That does look amazing Joe - really nice photography and clearly a lot of depth to the subject. But not at over £100

You could buy a very nice MOC for the cost of that book

Like the guys on RS say....thats nothing to spend on a book and who cares if you have had it setting in someone elses bank account for 5 years....If you can not afford to be out the cash then you are a poor ****er and do not deserve to be collecting vintage and have no place in the hobby.

Besides it's not your money....so you have no say so or are not allowed an opinion on the matter of weather or not pre-order is a good investment over 5 years (with no returns...of course you could get a refund...but then again you are rich...so who needs it).

Rant....over. :D

After Grant's rant I'm in! :D

Remember it is A4 format as well so those pictures will be really big?!!

(bottom line is if they'll sell one then I wouldn't mind a copy but it would be better if it was already printed)

Unfortunately it turns out this book has ripped off a lot of sites/collectors by stealing their images and using them without permission.

The Trilogo section is lifted from my site and Edd's and to be honest I am pretty pissed off about it, I would probably have said yes if he had asked but I was never contacted!!!

Just posted on RS as I imagine most of the images are from elsewhere, what a turd.

Well that's pretty bad that it's just compiled from images off the net! What were they thinking?!

Sorry to hear they took some of your images Joe, it's a bit hard to believe that they couldn't have just got in contact with you, they found your images after all. Maybe this is why nobody ended up buying into it and now it's just part of a site.

Maybe an email to them is in order......

That's ridiculous - how did he think he'd get away with that?

Take him to court Joe - copyright is serious business
