Sounds good mate, did you see what Indiana jones were there and how much they were up for?
Did you take any pictures?

No mate I didnt! My apolgies! I just noticed them in the corner of my eye! They were all individually priced and I throught Ed collects them but I never thought of taking pics! There where perhaps between 8 and 10 on one stall and I saw three others on another stall

It was the same person who had loads of ROTJ and Trilogo MOCs so he may be a member on the forums? :?

Sorry mate! :(

I saw that table of Table full of AFA Graded Loose Figures - looked impressive! There was another stall just up from there which had a Boxed Sandcrawler but the stand was packed and no prices anywhere so lost interest very quickly!

Was he in his 50s, quite tall, glasses Liam? If so he's been going to memorabilia since as long as I can remember and always has some great pieces but charges way over the top for them! He seems to just make up the prices depending on who's asking tbh

He's the one who was wanting £500 for a ROTJ Leia Organa about 6-7 years ago

Also, I took my youngest brother once (probably when he was about 13) and he picked up a tri-logo moc, with the big £1.99 sticker on it, and he came over and told us that it wasn't £1.99 and that it was just an old sticker    We just went thanks and walked off

Nick has a point about Jim in so far as some of his pieces being overpriced. I would say however that some of his prices are spot on. It may depend on the piece and whether or not he deems it to be sought after or not. He may also try his luck and ask over the odds to see if anyone bites but of course everyone is inclined to say no which Im sure many have.

In all honesty, I think Jim is a good guy. I have spoken to him and Andy (his son) countless times and they are always friendly and have some great stories to tell. Ive had some well priced items off him in recent years and there have been times when his stall has literally been the best aspect of a show. He's truly old school and always works hard to have an incredible looking stall. The items he has are often of the highest quality and I get the impression that he is not in a huge rush to move things quickly so as a collector I can understand that going to his stall can be frustrating. I would say however, that having a chat with him and introducing yourself could help over time. He'll probably be more inclined to cut a deal with someone he feels he knows or has had dealings with in the past.

Just my thoughts on Jim.

Jim is a decent guy. He does mellow as you get to know him.

I can appreciate his prices seem high at time but keep in mind he has been doing this for longer than most so he clearly is able to make good money doing this.

Also, being at a show, peope often put prices up a bit as they know people will want to negotiate/haggle.

Looking at Jim's stall is like looking at a toy museum at times. 8)

Oh yeah, I don't doubt that he has some great stuff but I just felt that they way he treated my brother that time was incredibly condescending!

I imagine that he is a nice guy but after asking a few prices on some carded figures he just seemed to lose interest and didn't even look at his paper and seemed to pick prices up out of the air. At one point he was even adding about £70 to an identical figure that toytoni was selling for.

I've brought a few pieces off Jim at several fairs and since I'm a tight bastard that means he must get his prices right sometimes. I'd also definitely agree that he mellows once you talk to him a bit. I think he's just an old skool (down with the kidz spelling there) toy dealer, he prices stuff dependant on whether or not he wants to shift it and the type of crowd attending. But if he didn't do this he probably won't of lasted all these years.

Let's face it at his prices he only needs to catch one or two uneducated fish per show to come home in the money
