It's almost a year to the day since I re-logged into collecting (having had a break since 2010; although collecting on and off since 1997 or so), so I thought I'd show some pics of what I've put together since getting back into it all.
I used to collect pre-production mainly, but decided last March to concentrate on British and French cards relating to the first 12 figures. I remember buying a Jawa back in the early 1980s in France on holiday, and love how the little square cards look, and Palitoys - well they speak for themselves, even if I can't ever remember seeing them in the shops (I was a late 1970s baby).
The Palitoys:
Palitoy 12bks and 30bk Luke X-wing
Meccano 12bk and 20bks (and a Revenge Walrusman proof card):
An Anglo-French comparison:
Two rare TIE Fighters - Kenner 'Special Offer' and Meccano GDE:
First 12 on a mailaway display stand (this normally sit on my desk!):
Close up on the DT Luke - the mintest saber I've ever seen (the inner filament came from a Kenner source, so it was completely straight and unused):
Finally, a group shot:
