Update 08/02/11

Haven't updated this in a while so thought i'd take a few snaps as i've acquired quite a a lot of new stuff over the last few months.
Some new additions are - an ESB, Palitoy, ATAT Commander, a Top Toys Stormtrooper MOC, an ESB Snowtrooper MOC, Last 17 R2 tri-logo MOC, a couple more Yaks to my Yak collection and my Stormtrooper army has grown a little since i last posted.

Thanks Brad. Hopefully in a few months i'll be able to show a much heftier collection.
But like you say, it's not bad for a start.

Just going with the flow really. Got a list in mind of things i wanna get both loose and carded and i suppose at some point i'll get obsessed with one angle and off i go!...
But for now, just building.

Nice looking collection, not bad for just over a month.
A good mix of loose and carded and the two ESB Moc look great.
A good start and I lookforward to future update's.

Thanks 20back. Won't be topping, in a major way, up for a couple of months as other things will be eating up my money.
But i'll be sure to post pics when i do.
ps. The ESB's are my fave's, partly cos i love the ESB card and also, i'm a big Bounty Hunter freak. Hope to get all 6, carded and loose!

that is a good start Pete - are you planning to get all the figs MOC and loose?

Yeah, pretty much tho it will take years!
Wanna get all the loose ones for sure. Which shouldn't take long. That is compared to the carded!
I got all 20, except the Jawa which i bought years ago, in a couple of months. Only another 70-odd to go!...
Have to stop for a month or so now but will get back on the trail by the end of July.
Same with the cardeds, will probably just add as i can afford them, depending on what i come across.

Oh and also, tho it may sound weird to most collectors, i'm not into POTF MOCs... *gasp*.
Don't remember them as a kid so they have no nostalgic value plus the card-backs are ugly and figures are all on steroids (and have no eyebrows!???).
So that should save me some money.

Will deff get them loose tho and possibly on Tri-backs but not POTF backs. *Spit*

are you sure you're not confusing POTF (1984 era) with the POTF (early 90's era)?

Because the original POTF figures are outstanding....well apart from Anakin!

No i'm talking 84. Most of them do look great but for me, the Luke Trooper, Han Carbonate just look wrong to me. But really i don't have a problem with the figs in general just the cards themselves don't hold nostalgic value for me.

Who ate all the space pies? (and his own eyebrows by the looks of it)...

Nice collection Pete (jus discovered thats ya name lol), looks like we're in the same ship as I've only started my collection in April too... tho I'm mostly ineterested in Scouts. Will be posting pics up soonish :)

Quick question as I too don't remeber the '84 POTF cards, but are the figures diff from the original SW, ESB and ROTJ one's?

Thanks tigerham. I hope to build on it soon but May and June is a no purchases period for me. Saving for hols.
But i'll be back at it in July. Like a mad man!
I look forward to seeing the pics of your collection. However small!
When you see the likes of SithSmith's collection on here, you feel a bit embarrased about putting up such a pathetically small lot but i think people on here just love seeing what other people have got going on. And are usually very kind  So go for it!

The POTF had a new line of figures (the Last 17) like all the other stages of new cards but they also produced loads of the older figures on POTF cards (Obe-Wan, Vader, B-Wing pilot, Chewbacaa etc etc). No different to the rest of the series except POTF cards were not based on/inspired by a film obviously. They were just a marketing revamp.
Because this was a comparatively short run(the last 17) and the figures, as far as i know, weren't released in america, they tend to be quite a bit more expensive than your average figure. Especially mint Luke Stormtrooper and Yak Face.

If you wanna find out what figures were released on what cards at what times then this thread on RebelScum is the place to read up. Before buying anything i read every word on every figure and inspected every pic. There's a lot you can learn here and quite importantly it can help you spot fakes.

Sweet, thanks Pete, much appreciated.

Btw jus received my POTF Scout AFA 85 today, big thanks to Chris on here, so big smiles at this end :D

Lol. Never noticed his lack of brow hair! Its funny how people differ on opinions and preferences. That's when collections get that bit more personal.
There are one or two potf figures that don't bowl me over but then I just think about what a cool figure amanaman is. A great sculpt and one of my personal faves. 8)
