Some very nice pieces there....liking the mix of loose SW figures with the Action Force figures 8)

Welcome aboard as well :D

I love Action Force, almost as much as I love Vintage Star Wars, both are a very big part of my life from my childhood to the present day. Owning them just makes me happy, it's strange how owning vintage toys can effect you. I have been a collector for a very long time, mainly Vintage Action Man, retro games consoles and 80's music. However I have sold most of it off now but am now focusing on Vintage Star Wars, the modern stuff doesn't have the same appeal although the the Gentle Giant Jumbo ones look amazing on display. I am very happy to have found this forum and thank you for the welcome

Really nice collection and well displayed.
Really impressive for just a years work!

That's a great collection and nicely displayed. Love the RC Palitoy R2 and I like the Gentle Giant figures next to their mini forefathers. Welcome to the forum. Look forward to watching your collection grow.

Thank you all for your kind words and welcome, it is nice to finally be able to relate to people like myself, i hope to meet some of you in person as i usually go to the Doncaster, Donnington and NEC toy fairs.
It really does feel like a good community here, I used to be into Vintage Action Man collecting in a very big way, unfortunately it was a very elitist community which drove me away from the scene to be honest.
I sense none of that here, to the member who requested more pictures of my Spectrum display i have taken a couple of pictures for you, I have also taken one of my work in progress ZX81 display.
Both machines still work and the games are ones that meant something to me as a child, my childhood collection is long gone so the games are all carboot purchases.
It took me years to turn up the Spectrum ones I wanted, I am waiting for more ZX81 games to turn up on my various carboot hunts but as you can imagine they are very rare to find these days unless you pay ebay prices.

Unfortunately none is from my childhood, I had everything back then even the Cardboard Death Star, my tale is the usual my mum gave it away when I grew up, she should have known I never would. I would give anything to own something Star Wars related from my childhood, the cabinet is from IKEA they show up on eBay from time to time. They are perfect to display Vintage Star Wars figures, it was purchased about six years ago.

Hello mate,

Welcome aboard. Clearly you're the same age as me (I'm 44) as I had all those computer games and still have loads in my loft. I Love the Sinclair displays.

I still have my boxed ZX Spectrum 48k and Commodore 64. I've since added a mint boxed Spectrum+ to the collection. At some point I'm looking to buy an Amiga Batman pack boxed. Loved those computers, I actually cite them as the reason I sold my Star Wars toys back in the day.

I had all those games in your display but regrettably sold quite a few relatively recently including my Ultimate games e.g. Pentagram, Knight Lore, Alien 8, Underwurlde etc.

Favourite 8 bit games of all time: Lords of Midnight and Doomdarks Revenge. Only recently deposed as favourite game ever by the Darks Souls games.
