Hi Guys,

I have another limelight thread somewhere but have decided to start a fresh one. A few of you know, approx. 14 months ago my wife gave birth to our daughter. Since then we have moved from our seaside flat in Hove to a house. All part of the grand plan but as an aside to this I made sure we had enough space to have a room I could use to display my collection. We moved in May and have spent since then completely redoing the guts of the house. New kitchen, bathrooms and redecorated top to bottom. I was told once all that was done I could be let loose on my room. I finished it last week and wanted to share it with some like minded people. The one compromise is it had to have the sofa bed in there to become a spare room if required, but that gives me somewhere to sit and gaze.

My aim with this collection is one of each figure on a moc, with as diverse mix of fronts and backs as I can get and all alternate photos, except three (no prizes for guessing which 3). My loose collection was going to be a straightforward run of one of each major variation but I keep buying variants so we will just see where this one ends up. Both runs are a long way from complete. I also collect OT lego and seem to have a lot of starwars artwork.

I must say, in these times of high prices and people getting disillusioned with the hobby, I don't think I have ever been happier with my collection. If I can't add a great deal to it going forward then I will happily enjoy the collection as it is.

Hope you enjoy. Its a bit photo heavy.

Trilogo Mocs:

These are laid out differently from the others. Based on the war the three logos are laid out on the front.

ROTJ shelf, slightly sparse, more of a speeder bike mini focus. There is a PBP speeder on the left, Ledi speeder on the right and a MIB Kenner speeder at the back. Ledi biker scout and overstock head and a ledi bear on the left and a kenner bear on the right.

Standard issue oddballs, including erasers and some of my celebration stuff. I had some CE2 star tots that I sold. I regret than now. anyone hook me up with a han carbonite and an EV9D9 I would be very happy. Also got some CE coins and an awesome piece of swag from Darren Simpson in Anaheim.

More celebration stuff. The Han spoof flyer is my Celebration swag effort. If anyone wants one I have a few spare. Just let me know.

Patches, a copy of behind the magic I thought I had lost and some presto magix, the last thing I have brought. Four for a fiver seemed very reasonable.

A couple of prints I picked up at FF. The luke is possibly my favourite print.

My Autograph collection on a Joe Correney print. I would love just to add Ford, James Earl Jones and Warwick Davies to this. 90% personalised to me and all gained in person.

I have been collecting the new Marvel comics and thought I would showcase the variant covers I have up to now:

Finally, there was a bid of overspill to the study. My wife doesn't mind these so I got to put them up in the house proper:

Fantastic mate - that is one of these collections that I could spend hours looking through - a real eclectic mix of vintage and other goodies

Great collection mate - I'm on a similar kind of mission as you - one of each figure on a MOC regardless of whether SW,ESB or ROTJ

Long way to go until I get anywhere close to the collection in those photos though!

Looks great Ben, very clean looking display and nice collection too! Must be great to finally have it all set up!

Top looking collection and love how everything's been set out. I'm sure your wife will have trouble getting you out of that room.

Thanks for posting up all your hard work, so worth it :D

Ian

Ben, great looking collection and fantastic that you have managed to get it all on display now. A real good mix of items and a nicely thought out display.

A really clean display Ben and a great mix of vintage and newer items. Personally I think you've got the mix just right - your newer stuff is interesting rather than just bought because it's Star Wars

A great room!

That's stonking, Ben. Really, really interesting mix of MOC with Palitoys, Kenner, Toltoys, Trilogos, POTF, miscards, made in Mexico; the works! And I like the scattering of Die Cast models, that works really well. And the more modern complement what you've got and fit right. Great to see all the Marvel comics together not done that yet. And that remind me; I need to order the Forbidden Planet exclusive

And as for those Cat Staggs prints. I want.

That is a fantastic collection in a fabulous space - must be great to sneak in there for a bit of peace and quiet when the opportunity presents itself! In fact, I'm not sure I'd leave!!!
