I love the way some things go way off thread ever so often. You would not get away with any of this on RS.

Take care mate and cant wait to see what cabinet you get made.

am happy what it sold for. Did the deal outside ebay. The buyer transfered the money to my account. No ebay no paypal. Still got a few gems left in collection

Any chance of a sub then.

Grant.

Dragging things kicking and screaming back on topic.....

For me it would be the Palitoy 12 back Large Head Han

$AUS200 for my TT Death Star, and I'm going to have to break my $AUS 100 budget/rule for loose figures for some harder to find variations :( I've been pushing my luck with spending recently, it may come to a grinding halt soon when my wife stands on my balls

I have said it before - but i must be seriously lucky. My girlfriend completely accepts the fact that i collect vintage SW. In fact she really supports me. When i am about to (or have already) made an offer to a seller for an expensive peice i just tell her.

Sometimes she looks at me like i am mad but then i go on to explain to her how rare it is or whatthe variant is and why o want it in my collection. The winning argument is that i coudl spend all my available money on loose toys or go out with the boys and piss it up against a wall - and beleive me i used to do this and she knows it. Now i have 2 really nice glass display cases with a great investment in. I dont ever think there woudl be a time when i woudl sell (not yet anyway) but if i had to i coudl and get a whole load of cash.

I must admit my wife is great. She even knows most of the names of the figures and pretends to get excited when a new parcel arrives. Heck she even walked down the isle with the Star Wars theme playing  But we have a 4 month old son and the household income halved when he came along so I do have to be a bit sensible about things  I don't have a Paypal account- I use hers, so nothing gets passed her :) But like a few have said already I'm not pissing it up the wall or smoking it in the crack pipe

I can understand why. I have no kids and not married. I have my own house (although with a stupidly large mortgage - offset with it is on a tracker  )

I have my money the girlfriend has hers (less the rent she pays) and i spend it on what i want. TO be fair i need to calm down a bit as i have spent a lot so far in 2009 and especially in the last month or so.

Wow Jason! Can't knock the figure though, is it the only one in the world to surface?

Not the kind of thing you just pick up on ebay is it lol

I almost completed my Kenner 8d8 MOC run tonight but the figure went £1 over my budget and I am too tight to pay any more

For now, it is the only hand painted/non-sonic welded (glued together) first jawa to surface. I know of two others with the "alternate capes", but they are sonic welded. I am rather lucky to have acquired this figure...
