More Repro Crap

Thats ActionForceToyStore, aka Andy Khaliq. The trouble is I think he actually believes his own spiel.

Why go to the effort of producing something like this and then make it so poorly ?

Surely in this day and age producing an exact replica, weight of card, bubble, colours etc is not that hard ? If it was really good quality & sold as repro then, to a small extent, fair enough if the price was a couple of quid and everyone knew...but to claim high quality blah blah blah is just bollocks !

Repro stuff overall is no good to this hobby. There is nothing quite so draining as getting a nice figure with a repro part

In a way the fact that most of these Repro wankers are just plain lazy on quality is actually a good thing, they are driven by profit so they will cut corners and try to make it as cost effective as possible which looking at this crap is plainly evident. Compare these to someone who makes a custom of an item that doesn't exist for their own pleasure and the attention to detail they put in because they are taking their time and not in it to sell.

As long as they put out garbage like this or Ormes quick fade boxes there's still a chance they can be easily spotted for what they are, fakes.

As above the good news is that making good quality prints in small runs is virtually impossible. To get anything like the original card stock and print quality, they would have to print thousands at a huge expense. Luckily most of these cowboys are also complete amateurs when it comes to design which is why the fonts are always way off and the colours washed out. I agree though, I'd much rather see high quality BUT clearly marked repro cards sold at a reasonable price than this utter home made junk, over-priced to boot.
