any idea why this went for so much?

I was bidding pretty high on some of his items too. More specifically the PDT-8 (because they are hard to find sealed and in this condition), the MLC-3 and the MTV-7 (because I liked the absence of the SW logo on the front), but I didn't bid on this because I did't think it was very special and also not that rare. Didn't win the others also.

But I guess it must be the condition it is in. Or maybe there's a minirig revival on the other side of the pond?

I bought a beautiful sealed one from Robbie Mullan for £23, so $140 does seem a bit excessive.

No revival over here....I would not pay more than $20 for any mini-rig.
