JATA is a Christmas movie as far as I'm concerned Mike :D

Funnily enough I just picked it up on blu ray - so add that to my list also

Great line up - pity we all couldn't have a film night or start a film club

Oh and I highly recommend "A Christmas Story" 1983 staring Peter Billingsley,, it's a really good Christmas movie.

Andy mate....you are sooooo in for a treat mate....you MUST watch this film, it's awesome, and it know is right up your street pal... Really well done, great story and some really funny parts in it

Karen and I where talking about Gremlins the other day - she loves it. So a Xmas watch is on me thinks. Don't know how I've missed it all these years

I remember having a discussion with a friend about whether or not Gremlins is considered a Christmas movie. Odd thing about that movie is it came out in June 84

In the States it was released in June but it didn't reach the UK and most of Europe till December '84. Think it was the same story for Ghostbusters.

According to IMDB anyway!

Forgotten how big the gap was between US and European release dates back then. Now they're almost simultaneous to combat film piracy (internet) and then you'd have to wait 6 months or a year or whatever for a video release after that! Back when everybody rented videos and would had no thought of shelling out 25/30 quid to buy a new title! :D
