Yeah I know what you mean mate. The guy is a f*cking unit!

Funnily enough the guy dressed as Spiderman asked him if he was a Superhero and where his disguise was on Saturday? We were pissing ourselves.

Gutted I missed you Chris. Did your brother enoy it?

Did you see Holly on the Saturday? Fit as ****

Was great to see all the Allo Allo lot there, Helga and Herr Flick looked awesome

Thought I would share this tale with you all:

Whilst at Memorabilia on Saturday I happened to be standing at the Star Zone Toy stall and there was a deal in mid flow.

The Dealer at Star Zone was buying some carded figures from a rather nerdy looking guy. You know the sort, slightly weedy and probably wouldnt say boo to a goose.

Anyway he was selling the following 10 carded figures all in pretty good shape. Many Unpunched.

Tri Logos: Luke Stormie, R2 Pop Up, Luke Endor, Luke Bespin, Yoda.
Plaitoy ROTJ: C-3PO, Han Bespin

And 4 others I cant remember all ROTJ Palitoy though I think.

I was watching it unfold and was curious to see how much the offer was going to be and whether it would be accepted. Anyway after inspection from the dealer he offered £400 for the lot!!!

I kept looking in the direction of the seller shaking my head and making gestures but to no avail. I wanted to step in and say no way dont take it but I thought that would be highly unprofessional.

Believe it or not, the guy bloody took it!

I caught up with the seller at lunch and he asked me why I kept looking at him whilst trying to make the sale. He said he thought he did alright. I told him straight that he was pretty much mugged.

I wish I hadnt been so nice at the time and jumped in on the deal but it would have been particularly bad etiquette!

some good pics there, but I must confess I have no idea who Holly is

The Matrix lot do look convincing, especially Keanu - and Burnsy your Boba looks tops 8) The Allo Allo lot were at the last one I went to, Herr Flick was pretty laid back if I recall

I'm definitely off to November's meet, I still need to check out Gary's scars - was he not at this one?

That's a tricky one. Sounds like the lot was worth well in excess of 700+ depending on what the unknown items were.
I think you were right not to step in as it's really between the dealer and the seller. If he's silly enough to take a first offer, let alone one so low then more fool him. We all, including non SW collectors, know to do a little research on what we are trying to sell and when a dealer makes you an offer, it's often gonna be low ball as they're hoping to make a profit. The dealer probably expected the guy to come back at him as that's the way it often works. I'm actually finding myself more on the side of the dealer here than the seller.
The deal probably should and normally would have gone like this -
"400...?"
"no way, i want at least 800..."
"i can't go that high, i tell you what, i'll go to 500..."
"can you do 7...?"
"600 final offer..."
"ok, done"

Right? :?
