 whats with the hefty scouts??? needs a speeder bus ,, not bike

  That's funny

Looks like an impressive turn out - first Nov mem I've missed in a while, next time maybe

I think he needs to start walking rather than sitting on his speeder bike all day. He does look like a solid scout! I can talk though, I've put on two and a half stone this year!!!
Give it 18 months

I didn't see the Boba Fett on the day, anyone know if he is on the boards? How was it organised Stu, are you part of a group in regards to dressing up? (I just read that back and although it sounds like I am taking the piss, I'm really not)

Yeah, SERIOUSLY, there must be laws against dressing up as an EWOK!?

Heres my haul of vintage from Mem. fairly resonably priced considering:

Sandcrawler (Gary Smith), Biker Scout Baggie (?), Survival Pack Overstock box and baggie (Lee Bullock) Almost free Trilogo Boba Fett (Freeballer) A pair of nice Stormtroopers (Leicester Vintage toy shop)

All that lot in the group shots are from the UK Garrison which is basically an arm of the 501st which is a worldwide Lucasfilm
approved costuming group. Mainly Star Wars, but also other characters like you can see.
They attend events all over the UK and there are probably 5 events a week.

I'm at Great Ormond Street hospital next Tuesday, there's 8 of us going and we go round the wards seeing the kids.
That new Currys advert has an R2 in it from the Garrison. We're at the flaghip John Lewis in London in a few weeks and when the
new Star Wars Adidas trainers were released we were at the their stores in London.

It's all for charity, none of us get paid but we ask for money to be donated to specific charities we are involved with.
It's actually just good fun and the guys and gals involved are a bloody nice bunch of people.

I know the Ewok, her name is Carol, she's in her thirties and vertically challenged shall we say! Her other half is a SandTrooper.
The large Bikerscout is currently building a Vader suit (but he realises he has to go on a diet first!!)

It's great fun, but it is also taken quite seriously with movie accuracy.

Marty McFly that you can see in the photos has gone to amazing detail. He's got the exact trainers, bodywarmer, sony walkman, headphones etc from the film. He even has a tape in the walkman with a Handwritten 'Van Halen' on the tape, exactly like the film. He also carries 8 different photos of the classic family photo which shows his family disappearing.

The hitman that you can see just recently had a barcode tattoed onto the back of his head!!! ****ing mental!!

Yeah of all the stuff I got the Lego Fett is the one I keep picking up and not playing with
He has a removable helmet too... and a cool cape....and a rocket pack...and a little ariel thing....
And he cost £17..... I must be bloody mad

my lad and me went to mem this year, first time in a while...
i managed to find a few loose figures at decent prices and some of the moc were simply stunning but waaaaay out of my price range
however, the show seems to have got quite a bit smaller over the years and wtf is with the hall layout?
on the plus side the Garrison looked superb as always :D
anyone know if the spring one is the same size as it used to be slightly smaller than the winter one?
next show for me will be the toy collecters fair at the nec used to be half decent for SW goodies
