Marathon Competition

Well done chiffy and well done Chris, great time to run.

4.16 Bram ****ing hell, that's some serious pace. Even my neighbour who is in a running club was looking at 4.30. Well done to both of you.

Hi guys,

Not a great day for me really... Anything that could go wrong, DID!

My garmin watch died a little way into the race which didnt help with timing and after spraining my ankle and having to run on pain killers Having it heavily strapped the over-compensation for the pain gave me a massive blister at about 6 miles on my other foot. Having never had a blister whilst running before it really pissed me off and was quite painful.

As Chubb said the weather was ridiculous considering I've been training in freezing temperatures so that took its slice. Unfortunately for me I ended up getting chest pains as I got to a mile out and I collapsed just over the line unable to breathe and was rushed on a stretcher to the St Johns tent... Had to have a lot of treatment and an ECG on my heart, but I have had this problem before and the quacks have not got a clue.

Anyway off to listen to more BS from one in an hour!!

Sounds like a lot of excuses, but I am genuinely gutted that I didn;t hit my target of 3hrs 50 as I was bang on for it up to 10 miles. Pain or not!

Not sure how I feel about the chalenge Chubb has laid at my door, but I am sure in a few weeks I'll be back on it again!

Bram
:D

Nice one Chris and Bram, i done the snowdonia marathon in 2010 so i can feel for lads
Itse a good feelin tp know youv'e done it.
dont envy the heat though, i really hate running in the sun

Well done Chiffy great prize

Just thought i'd let everyone know i recieved my prize today and i am well ecstatic. Also i have never seen an item so well packaged to the extent that the box was so vast and full of white poly i thought Chris had forgot to put him in there
Seriously mate thanks a bundle for running the marathon, running the comp, raising some charity funds and raising my manhood upon recieving :D

No problem Chiffy.

I refilled my bean bag the other day and that stuff is great for filling the empty space in a star case. They do build up a bit of static though were they rub against each other and they get everywhere and stick to everything they touch. Great fun
The normal sized peanuts are just standard imperial procedure 8)

Glad you like him and glad that TieFighterBoy is not the only one around here giving people wood with his deliveries
