Dennis I have only just found this, what an awesome run!!! I cant believe how many you have managed to assemble in such a short space of time :wink:

It only seems like a week ago you pmed me about the transparencies :lol: Crazy.

They look amazing, there are so many iconic images there. I would love to know how you get on with having some prints made from these 8)

New stuff incoming shortly. 8) In fact, I'm holding 12 new additions in my hands right now, but don't have much time to take pics atm as my sun is here for summer vacation. Also looking forward to buy 35 new slides next month.

As for prints, I'm not very far tbh... As you know Kim Simmons is offering a service where you send in your slides, he scans them and sends them back to you, including print outs, only for the cost of shipping. But that service counts only for slides/photos that he has not scanned yet. And I'm pretty sure that all slides that I bought recently came indirectly from him... so that service doesn't count for me I'm afraid. And I'm kind of afraid of the customs to be honest. If I send my slides over to him and he sends them back to me, the customs might charge me for nothing...

That being said he offered to restore the slides for me, which would be great as you can see that some of the slides have issues. I'll see in the future what I can do about it.

Weather is ***** today, so maybe I can get around to take pics of my new additions today...

Keep your eyes peeled for me please, if you see any slide/transparency you don't want yourself, shoot a PM.

The Ewok cartoon slides are character sheets, a presentation of what they look like, what their personality is like and such,
before the designers get the go-ahead to start filiming/animating. Somewhat like a filecard for each character.

@Grant: Don't call it a come back! Actually I was never gone, sadly I don't have time to read and write so much on the forum anymore, eg I haven't even been able to read the Latest Acquisitions thread in months which is really sad as this was always the highlight of the day for me. I have been constantly adding to my collection, but I have slowed my pace a little.
@Jörn: Thanks for the info, if I find the time to update, I will do that.

Simply magnificent. Had to have a ciggy n coffee break halfway through checking these out! Outstanding effort to get these collected, must be a source of great joy. Steadily trying to acquire more. I will have some new ones coming in soon. Some Kenner items, but not Star Wars related (Chuck Norris / Indiana Jones) and some movie related, - I believe until now - unseen pics from the production of "A new Hope". So watch this space.

EDIT: Also working out a way how to get these digitalized in the best way. Had some slides scanned at a local photo studio and the results were not too bad. But a little expensive. I might consider buying a semi pro scanner in the next coming months. What I can tell so far is that some of the slides look badly damaged the way I photographed them. That's the reason I chose some of them for scanning in the photo studio. The scans turned out amazingly great, no signs of any damage at all, so the way of photographing isn't good, but anyhow gives an idea on the pics.
